Zaheer is the founder of an online news portal and has been working on it for more than a decade. He feels that the most important thing in life is to gain value and add value through your actions and work for bettering the lives of others.

Zaheer Abbas is the founder of the Udaipurwale Facebook group and Udaipurwale online news portal.

Zaheer was born and brought up in Udaipur. He did his schooling at St. Paul’s Senior Secondary School. Zaher shares that his father used to give him tough work to do and Zaheer feels that it helped him a lot in his later life. His father passed away when Zaheer was just eleven years of age.

Talking about his professional journey, Zaheer says that he started Udaipur Times in 2010 but had to leave all his commitments and jobs in 2014 as his wife got diagnosed with cancer. During that phase, Zaheer got the idea of creating a platform where people could put their queries and get relevant answers from the local community.

Sharing his views on success, Zaheer says that he does not believe in restraining success to a particular point. Zaheer says that the success mantra for an organization should be to serve people selflessly and provide tangible value to them.

When asked whether he is a born leader or not, Zaheer says that he is not a leader and just an everyday person doing his job.

Shedding light on his achievements, Zaheer says that he feels that there is no limit to achievements in life. Still, he feels that starting the first ever hyper-local news platform, Udaipur Times, and then Udaipurwale is what he considers successful ventures in his life.

Talking about his role models, Zaheer says that his spiritual guru is his role model. His guru taught Zaheer a different perspective in life and trained his inner self. Zaheer feels that training your inner self will automatically reflect on your outer self.

When asked about the more important one between education and experience, Zaheer says that education helps in gaining knowledge and experience helps in polishing ourselves. However, choosing between the two, Zaheer says that experience is more important as a person learns more from their surroundings.

Talking about the two fields Zaheer Works in, i.e., journalism and social media, he says that to be a journalist one has to have that in their blood and should be a neutral person. To be in the social media field, one should keep themselves updated on the changing trends, platforms, and technology.

If given a time machine, Zaheer would like to relive the 18 to 22 age bracket of his life as he feels that he wasted that crucial phase by not taking it seriously.

Sharing his experience of the COVID-19 pandemic, Zaheer says that it taught us that death is the ultimate eventuality of life. It also brought us closer to traditional living and connected us more to our families and friends is what Zaheer feels. He also adds that COVID made the world more online and digital.

Zaheer feels that there are no shortcuts in life. He also adds that it is not necessary that one will always achieve what one dreams of and this is the harsh reality according to him. Hence, he advises everyone not to aspire too much in life.

In his free time, he likes playing with his kids and cooking.
