A life coach and author, Yusuf is successfully running two businesses in Oman. He started his journey as a life coach at the time of the lockdown, which proved to be a turning point in his life.

Yusuf Baramatiwala is the owner of Unique Furniture and Unique City Trading in Muscat.

Yusuf belongs to a small town called Baramati in Maharashtra and is currently living in Muscat, Oman. He initially started assisting his uncle’s business and then started his own.

Recalling his childhood, Yusuf says that he faced many hardships during his school days. When he was growing up, he lived with many fears and lost his mother at the age of seven. He had a very difficult time as he did two jobs at a time and had to drop out of school. Afterwards, his friends persuaded him to start the education process again, and he graduated and did higher studies at Pune University. He says that at the age of 19 he got an opportunity to work  with his uncle in Muscat .

Talking about his journey, Yusuf says that he started working with his uncle in Muscat and soon became capable enough to start his own venture. He says he enjoyed his journey as an entrepreneur, but always wanted to have peace in his life and spend time with his family. At the time of the lockdown, he got this opportunity, but it also shook him as he faced difficulties handling the financial situation.

His wife encouraged him to start writing again, and he published his first book "A Book that Starts from the Centre of Your Heart, Mind, and Soul". This encouraged him to become a certified life coach, a speaker, and an author. He also published another book "The Power of Fearless Dreams." He says his coaching journey is still going, and he is moving ahead by impacting more lives every day.

Sharing about his achievements, Yusuf says that he is getting many writing assignments in Oman and has also written a small write-up for the Mumbai Rotary Club about transforming the lives of people. He is an ambassador of the Poetry and Literary Group of Oman, and also received an award for best poetry in the English category.

Yusuf’s life mantra is to take proper actions according to the situation. He says you have to act every single time to fulfil your dreams.

Talking about his role models, Yusuf says that his school principal is his role model because he taught him how  to grab the opportunities. He also has a mentor in poetry and literary groups who has inspired him to write again. His family members too always inspired him to move ahead in his life. His other mentors are Afreen Khan and Smita Nair, who have always assisted and supported him.

Yusuf advises people that becoming a good human being is the most important thing in life. Education is important, but moral values are also required to move ahead in life. Learning from experiences and applying them are two important factors in achieving success.

Yusuf believes in providing quality products to the customers in business..

In his spare time, Yusuf loves to read books, sing, and listen to music. He also likes to write poetry, quotes, and letters.

Sharing his COVID experience, Yusuf says that during COVID, people learned to value human relations and got closer to their families. He says many people grew in their lives by realizing their potential at the time of the lockdown.
