Yogesh Ojha transitioned from a career in engineering to education after realizing his true passion for teaching. Despite facing challenges, including setbacks in his goal to join the armed forces, he found fulfillment in shaping young minds.

Yogesh Ojha has been serving as a Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in Mathematics at Rockwoods High School, Udaipur, for the past four years.

With a total of nine years of teaching experience, he has honed his expertise in mathematics education. Before joining Rockwoods, Yogesh contributed his skills to esteemed institutions like Central Academy and The Study School, both located in Udaipur.

In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Ojha plays a pivotal role in the school's examination department, ensuring the smooth execution of assessment processes. His dual contributions as an educator and administrator highlight his dedication to fostering academic excellence and maintaining the highest standards in education.

Yogesh Ojha completed his B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication from Geetanjali Institute of Technical Studies in 2010. Driven by his passion for teaching and mathematics, he went on to earn an M.Sc. degree in Mathematics, further strengthening his academic foundation. To complement his expertise and pursue a career in education, he also completed a B.Ed. program, equipping himself with the skills to excel as a dedicated and effective educator.

After completing his B.Tech., Yogesh Ojha worked for two years as a Production Engineer with the Biotech Group of Companies. However, unforeseen circumstances led him to pivot toward the field of education. Reflecting on this transition, Yogesh shares that despite the challenges, he found his true calling in teaching. Since then, he has been passionately working as an educator, shaping young minds and making a meaningful impact in the field of education.

Yogesh Ojha was born and raised in the city of Udaipur. He completed his secondary and higher secondary education under the Rajasthan Board. Reflecting on his childhood, Yogesh fondly recalls being quite mischievous and, surprisingly, an average student in mathematics. This journey from being an ordinary math learner to becoming a dedicated mathematics teacher is a testament to his perseverance and passion for the subject.

When asked about the role models in his life, Yogesh Ojha credits his school mathematics teacher, Mr. Babel, for inspiring him with his teaching style. He admired Mr. Babel's engaging and effective approach to explaining mathematics concepts, which left a lasting impression on him. Additionally, Yogesh draws inspiration from Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, particularly for his dedication to fitness and disciplined lifestyle, qualities that Yogesh strives to incorporate into his own life.

Reflecting on the struggles in his life, Yogesh Ojha shares that his dream was to become an army officer. He attempted the Service Selection Board (SSB) exam four times but, unfortunately, could not clear the various rounds of its interviews.

Yogesh expresses regret over not setting a clear goal earlier in life, particularly before his secondary education. He admits that while his aspiration was to join the armed forces, he was unaware of the NDA exam and its requirements at the time. This lack of early guidance and information hindered his chances of being selected by the SSB. Despite these setbacks, Yogesh chose to channel his efforts into education, where he has found a fulfilling career.

To the students, Yogesh Ojha advises them to identify their goals early, ideally during their 8th, 9th, or 10th grades, to ensure they can align their efforts in the right direction and work toward achieving their dream careers. He emphasizes the importance of focused determination, cautioning against trying to pursue multiple paths simultaneously. "Do not sit on two boats at a time," he says, encouraging students to remain dedicated to their chosen aspirations.

Sharing his experience during the COVID-19 pandemic, Yogesh Ojha reveals that he faced financial challenges, as well as difficulties in effectively teaching his students through online classes. The lack of in-person interaction made it tough for students to grasp concepts. However, he also cherishes the positive side of the lockdown, as it allowed him to spend quality time with his family. He fondly recalls watching classics like the Ramayana and the Mahabharata on television, which brought joy and a sense of nostalgia during those challenging times.

In his leisure moments, Yogesh enjoys trekking and has explored several hills in Udaipur, including the iconic Tiger Hill. A travel enthusiast and fitness lover, he also dedicates time to traveling and working out in the gym.

If he gets a chance to relive a moment from his past, Yogesh would love to go back to his school days, a time he thoroughly enjoyed and remembers fondly.
