A seasoned dance teacher, Yogesh has proudly represented India on numerous prestigious international stages. Now, his greatest source of pride lies in witnessing his students carry forward his rich legacy with passion and skill. He sees their achievements as a testament to his teachings. Yogesh Gosavi is a multifaceted Artist, Dance Instructor, and the Founder of Abstract Moodz at Choreo Dance Studio. His journey with dance began as a hobby, evolved into a passionate pursuit, and ultimately became his profession.

With eighteen years of experience in the field, Yogesh specialises in teaching modern contemporary and freelance dance forms at his studio. He also collaborates with other instructors who teach classical forms such as Kathak across his four branches in Pune.

As a teenager, Yogesh and a group of friends ignited their interest in dance, participating in reality and professional dance shows. They represented their college in various fests, starting with ‘Mood Indigo’ at IIT Bombay. Inspired by his early experiences, Yogesh pursued formal training in Contemporary Dance at the Delhi School of Performing Arts. By 2011, he was conducting workshops and full-fledged dance classes.

Today, Yogesh takes pride in his students who are now representing India in national and international dance competitions and establishing their own academies. This accomplishment is deeply fulfilling for him.

Reflecting on the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Yogesh recalls how a flourishing business was abruptly halted by the shutdown. Despite the trend towards online education, Yogesh chose not to transition his classes online, believing it wouldn't benefit students who struggled with in-person learning. He prioritized value over profit, avoiding online classes to maintain the integrity of dance instruction.

In his leisure time, Yogesh indulges in various artistic pursuits such as painting, sculpting, and teaching Claymation classes, further enriching his creative repertoire. He is also into interior designing and has worked for brands like Philips.
