Running a highly popular shop known as Bullet Wala, Yashpal Singh Jhala has become an expert in trading used two- wheelers. With his dedication and perseverance he has built a strong social media presence getting millions of views for his reels.

Yashpal Singh Jhala owns an outlet named Bullet Wala in Udaipur. The outlet deals in second-hand vehicles.

When asked why the name ‘Bullet Wala’, he shares that during his childhood, his grandfather owned a Bullet in 1980. Although they were children and could not ride it themselves, they would always go on rides along with him. The Bullet remained in good condition until 2010–11, after which its condition gradually deteriorated.

When he joined college, one of his friends owned a bike. This sparked a desire in him to own a vehicle of his own, and that is when he decided to purchase a second-hand vehicle.

He strongly believes that if he had not owned a second-hand vehicle, he would not be where he is today. He purchased his first second-hand bike under the guidance of his uncle from Bhinmal and brought it to Udaipur. He rode it for some time and later resold it, earning a good profit. This experience motivated him to slowly and steadily work only in this direction.

Later, he purchased another vehicle from Dabok, and resold it as well. By 2021–22, he had become a trader and was actively buying and selling vehicles. During this phase, 7–8 vehicles were always kept at his village home at any given time.

All through this period, his college education was ongoing, but he was not attending classes regularly. After completing his B.Com, he enrolled for the LLB course from BN College. He then moved to Udaipur in 2022, and from that year onward, he began purchasing and selling vehicles in Udaipur itself. Everything was progressing smoothly when, on October 5, 2024, one of his friends suggested that he open a shop. They took a big space initially and set up a showroom. Gradually, it transformed into a strong brand.

Today, Bullet Wala is a recognised name in the market. Currently, they have more than 100 vehicles in stock, and they have sold many as well. Over time, they have earned immense customer trust and recognition, and people now prefer Bullet Wala whenever they are in need of a used vehicle.

He shares that a customer purchases an expensive second-hand vehicle only when trust is built and when they are assured that good services will be provided.

Yasyhpal Singh Jhala was born in Khetageda village near Kanore. Being born in a village, he completed the first two years of his education in the angawadi in his village itself. After that, he attended Kanore School.

He again recalls the Bullet owned by his grandfather, which they used to ride while visiting their grandmother’s place. Nearly 5–6 family members would sit on a single bike. He describes it as an extremely powerful vehicle and believes that old vehicles were nothing less than gold. It was a diesel Bullet, and this was when his deep interest in vehicles began.

When the Bullet was still at home, he did not know how to ride it. By the time he learned to ride in 2017–18, the vehicle had become no longer usable. They gave the vehicle away for free to someone, who later sold it to a third party. Today, the same vehicle is with the fifth owner, and Yashpal is currently in talks to bring it back. He also plans to post a reel about it and renovate it again. This clearly shows that his love for Bullets has existed since childhood.

Jhala shares that even during his school days, his mind constantly worked around one question,”How to earn money?” He always thought about how money could come to him and how he could earn from the market. As a child, he used to sell tamarind and red dates to his classmates. At that age, his thinking was limited, and this was all he could manage.

Gradually, he started selling SIM cards and phones in school. The first phone he sold was a Samsung C2 keypad phone, followed by a Samsung touchscreen phone sold to one of his friends. Over time, he sold phones, iPhones, and laptops. While doing business, he moved to Udaipur, and after coming here, he started trading bikes. One bike purchase slowly turned into a full-fledged business.

He shares that many of his friends and family inspire him and continuously guide him. The first among them is his elder brother, who gives next-level ideas that always prove useful. Based on his ideas, one of Yashpal’s reels recently crossed 16 million views on Instagram. Another close friend is Rohit Jain, who owns a mobile business. He supports him wholeheartedly and gives ideas related to YouTube, reels, and business growth. For cracking major business deals, Yashpal learned a lot from his maternal uncle, Bhagwat Singh, who is known in the family for his exceptional business sense. Whenever there is any important deal, everyone turns to him. From his uncle, Yashpal learned how to explain things clearly and how to handle different types of clients.

Among his friends, Gopal works as a partner. In the early days, Yashpal took a few bikes from him. Today, he considers him nothing less than a brother. They never fix rates in advance. Vehicles are handed over first, and the price is decided only at the time of payment. He shares that he received similar support from many friends, which helped him grow gradually.

Jhala shares that his father, fondly called Bowji Hokum, has always supported him quietly from behind the scenes. He never made Yashpal feel dependent, yet he always stood by his decisions. He never questioned him, even when demands were made, and always encouraged him to do what he believed was right. His grandfather taught him the most valuable lesson that “Money is made from money.” He taught him never to waste money and often repeated the line: “अगर आप पैसा बर्बाद करोगे, पैसा आपको बर्बाद कर देगा।”

From childhood, the family was taught to use money wisely. They were never given money to eat outside; everything they needed, ghee, milk, food, was available at home. Unnecessary expenses were always discouraged.

Even today, every investment decision is taken very carefully, where to invest, where not to, where returns will come from, and where they will not. Each step is planned thoughtfully.

He shares that his father and elder brother struggled immensely so that he would not have to face the same hardships.

Speaking about his own struggles, he recalls purchasing his first vehicle from Bhinmal. When they saw the vehicle, his uncle did not like it, and they turned back. After travelling 10 km, in the middle of the journey, Yashpal started crying because he wanted the vehicle badly. He believes that if he had not bought that second-hand vehicle at that time and instead purchased a first-hand one, he would never have sold it in the market and would not have reached this stage today.

After returning, they travelled the same 10 km again. His uncle had a friend at Mahindra Showroom, from where they purchased the vehicle. Bringing that vehicle home laid the foundation of his business journey. Later, when he wanted to resell it, he took his brother’s friend Himanshu Banna along, who helped him buy and sell another vehicle from Dabok and also cross-check the paperwork. Through such continuous struggles, he became confident and capable.

As he progressed slowly, he began achieving what he once dreamed of. Today, he has 88,000 followers on Instagram. The reels they create are unique and receive strong engagement. The creative planning behind the reels is handled by his brother Rohit. While Yashpal appears in front of the camera, his brothers and friends work together behind the scenes. Recently, one of his reels crossed 16 million views, after which he received over 10,000 calls. His phone had to be kept on DND mode for four days. Despite trying, it was impossible to attend all calls. Today, his Instagram presence has grown significantly, and he aims to take it even further.

For young people who want to start their own business, especially those who keep planning ideas for years without execution, he advises that one must at least begin working on a plan without fear. Only after starting does one understand whether the result will be profit or loss. He never imagined reaching this level himself. Earlier, when he saw Instagram accounts with more than 50k followers, he felt they were impossible to reach. Today, he is one of them. His belief is simple: start, and slowly everything falls into place.

Owner of Bullet Wala Yashpal Singh Jhala believes one must step forward and understand how things work, why they work, and what does not. If one moves forward, things happen; if not, nothing changes.
