An officer at CAPF, Yashpal has had a lifelong passion for hard work and achievement. He has received many  awards for his exceptional work for the nation and advises younger people to focus and stay firm on their goals in order to succeed.

Yashpal Singh Chauhan hails from Agra. He is a Gazetted Group A Officer at CAPF. He started from scratch but always aimed high in his life while also winning many medals to date.

Recalling his childhood, Yashpal says that he completed his education in Agra.  His family belonged to a village, however, he spent his childhood in Agra. He lived in a joint family and grew up with his cousins in a fun-filled childhood.

Yashpal says that his father had always taught him to work hard and achieve everything on his own without expecting someone’s support. He believes that your capabilities are reduced if you expect support from people. Speaking about his challenges, Yashpal says that his job is very difficult and since he works in the armed forces, he celebrates his birthday every day. This is because he may lose his life any day while fighting for the nation and that is why he celebrates every day. He says that he faced many challenges, but he fought with a clear vision and never looked back.

When asked about his achievements, Yashpal says that for his committed services, the Government of India has awarded him with the ‘Ati Utkrisht Seva Padak’. He has also received various awards from the department. Yashpal also has his thoughts published in the India Book of World Records.

Regarding his mistakes, Yashpal recalls various mistakes he made during his school and college times and says that he made  mistakes but learned lessons from his mistakes. Before doing anything, he analyzes the task beforehand in order to avoid mistakes, says Yashpal.

Yashpal mentions his father as one of his role models when asked about them. His father, a lawyer, had always provided him with many, distinct forms of guidance. He helped him learn the distinction between good and bad and between right and wrong. According to Yashpal, his father's teachings have always been a source of light in the dark for him. He also considers his wife as his ideal because of the manner she raised their children when he was working away from home.

When asked about his success mantra, Yashpal says that he has been writing one positive thought each day for the last ten years and these thoughts have been published as a book in India's Book of Records. However, he personally believes in a saying that, “I am B-Negative but I work with an attitude of B-Positive.”

To the young ones, Yashpal says that you should remain happy in every situation. You should find a way to be happy even in your problems because when you are happy, half of your problems are solved.

Advising the new aspirants, Yashpal says that nowadays there are competitive exams through UPSC, so if you want to come into this field then study hard and make yourself your competition. Make a clear goal, stay positive, give your hundred percent, stay firm, and grow.
