Professionally, Yashaswee Sanghavi has been pursuing her artistic career in a full-fledged capacity for the past five to six years, establishing herself as a recognized name in the art community. At Anu Art & Craft Studio, Sanghavi not only creates and showcases her artwork but also provides a wide range of crafting and drawing materials for her customers. Especially the women who come to her studio, learn various techniques, and then go on to teach others, creating a ripple effect of creativity and skill-sharing in the community. Yashaswee Sanghavi offers short-term craft courses at Anu Art & Craft Studio, spanning one to 15 days, which focus primarily on creating home decor items. These courses empower her students to craft products that have market potential, with the ultimate goal of helping them start their own businesses. She teaches popular, trending techniques like Resin Art and Decoupage, sharing her expertise in these fields.

Notably, Sanghavi  holds a professional degree in Decoupage Art from the SIFA Institute in Bangkok, where she achieved the distinction of being the first Indian to complete a Teacher's Degree in this art form at the age of 21. She has also conducted professional Decoupage courses across various cities, helping over 5,000 women who now pursue crafting as a profession.

Her courses are meticulously designed by her, from the products to the learning modules, emphasising skills in product development and innovation. Her approach encourages students not only to master techniques but also to create and teach new ones, ultimately providing them with the tools to earn a sustainable living in the field of art and craft.

Yashaswee Sanghavi had conducted numerous workshops across cities like Goa, Pune, Mumbai, Surat, and Bhopal before the pandemic. While she primarily offered in-person classes, the situation during COVID-19 prompted her to launch online workshops. These online sessions are thoughtfully designed, with Yashaswee only teaching projects that can be completed without her direct, hands-on guidance. She frequently opens slots for online workshops, especially around festivals, making it easy for students to find courses that match the season’s themes.

One unique feature of her online classes is that they aren’t live; instead, students receive access to a private group where she uploads all recorded sessions. This flexibility allows busy individuals, such as working women or homemakers, to learn at their own pace. Each workshop includes a materials kit, which is delivered directly to students' homes, ensuring they have everything they need to follow along.

She welcomes learners of all ages, believing that art is a skill anyone can develop. Her workshops for children, typically 8-9 years old, are especially popular during summer breaks. Beyond art classes, she also organises events like Birthday Parties, Kitty Parties, and DIY Gatherings, tapping into the growing trend of DIY kits as gifts and party activities. Over the past two years, she has inspired 4,000 to 5,000 people to shift from typical store-bought products to DIY creations, encouraging parents to support hands-on activities as an alternative to screen time.

Yashaswee Sanghavi’s achievements reflect her dedication to her craft and her journey as an artist. Early on, she earned a national-level gold medal for a Madhubani painting when she was in school and a silver medal in a Picasso competition. When she was in eleventh grade, she showcased her talent in a solo painting exhibition, which marked her initial steps into the art world. Eventually, she transitioned to crafting professionally, where her skills and vision have continued to shine. For the past five years, she has consistently received the ‘Young Achievers’ award from INMO Indore, a testament to her impact and talent.

Additionally, she was honoured by Crazy Tales in Delhi on Women’s Day as a young achiever and has received commendations from various brands she has collaborated with. Most recently, she was awarded at the ‘Hamare Sitare’ event in Indore, further highlighting her remarkable contributions and dedication to her field.

Yashaswee Sanghavi’s career in art began with a love for painting, which later expanded when she discovered quilling. At that time, she struggled to find materials for quilling in Indore, so she researched and learned the basics about the art with whatever resources were available. Her passion led her to seek guidance from various Indian artists, refining her skills over the years. Remarkably, Yashaswee began teaching art while still in ninth grade, initially working with children.

Recognizing the lack of materials and trending arts in Indore, she decided to open Anu Art & Craft Studio. Every month, she introduces new products and courses, continuously updating her offerings to keep up with evolving trends. Yashaswee’s courses are uniquely designed, focusing on teaching techniques rather than just end products. Her studio stands out for its one-of-a-kind courses, crafted entirely from her own innovations, setting them apart from anything else available in the market.

Reflecting on her inspiration behind entering the art field, Yashaswee Sanghavi shares that she began doing art during her school years when she participated in various national and international art competitions. Her interest in drawing and painting led her to enter a competition called ‘Kartab Kala’, organised by Ujjain's Kalidas Committee, where she won a gold medal for her school. She later won a national-level gold medal, though at the time, she didn’t fully recognize the significance of these achievements. By ninth grade, however, she realised her passion for art and decided to pursue it as a career.

As she grew more involved in the field, Yashaswee expanded her interests to include crafting and developed a strong desire to teach. Sharing her knowledge through workshops became her primary goal, where she could refine her techniques and explore new ideas, adapting her art to the unique preferences of her students. Unlike simply replicating existing art, she focuses on original, innovative creations that bring out each learner's potential. Through her work, Sanghavi encourages creativity and individuality, striving to make a positive impact on aspiring artists.

Yashaswee Sanghavi recalls growing up in Indore, where she completed her schooling at Indus World School. She went on to earn a B.Sc. in Fashion Design from NIFD and later pursued a Master’s Degree in Event Management at a college in Indore. Her studies in event management helped her gain insights into organising and planning, skills she later applied to her workshops and events. Her interest in Fashion Design stems from a lifelong love for creating; as a child, she enjoyed designing clothes from her mother’s sarees and often preferred her own creations over ready-made garments.

During her early years, Yashaswee primarily taught young children while balancing her own studies. Over time, her reputation grew, and her student base expanded. Remarkably, she secured a franchise when she was in eleventh grade, becoming the exclusive distributor for one of India’s largest craft material manufacturers in Madhya Pradesh. Under this partnership, she designs products and conducts workshops for the brand. Additionally, she began producing raw materials for crafting under her own brand, Anu Arts. Many of the DIY kits and supplies she uses in her courses are self-manufactured, allowing her to offer unique, high-quality materials tailored to her students’ needs.

She draws inspiration from people who began their journeys without resources or guidance—those who didn’t know exactly how to start but persevered until they succeeded. These self-made individuals are her role models, and she admires them deeply. Among her greatest sources of support is her mother, who encouraged her artistic pursuits from the beginning. Her mother’s support was unwavering; she would take Yashaswee to every art class in Indore, instilling in her a passion and commitment to her craft. Whenever Yashaswee expressed a desire to pursue an expensive course, her parents stood by her without hesitation. Her mother’s resilience and ability to juggle multiple responsibilities inspired Yashaswee, who now embodies this same multitasking spirit.

Today, Yashaswee Sanghavi manages her art business along with a single assistant, shouldering a wide range of tasks together. They conduct all the classes and workshops, create art kits, oversee the store, and handle daily shipments of around 50 to 60 parcels. Driven by her vision and dedication, she has steadily grown her business. For the past five years, she ran her operations out of a small flat, but her recent move into a larger studio space reflects the fruits of her 12 years of hard work. She remains committed to expanding in the art field and is determined to chart a path forward.

Sanghavi enjoys listening to spiritual, patriotic, and goal-centric songs, finding motivation and inspiration in their lyrics. These words fuel her ambition and remind her of her purpose. She believes in the power of positive connections, especially during difficult times. Whenever she feels down, she makes it a point to surround herself with encouraging people who discuss growth and future aspirations. Her advice is simple: stay away from negativity, and seek out those who uplift you and keep you focused on what lies ahead.

Yashaswee Sanghavi acknowledges with pride that she had never imagined she would create such an extensive network and thriving business on her own. Remarkably, about 75% of her business comes from clients and collaborators outside Indore, spanning across India in states like Delhi, Chhattisgarh, and Punjab. People from all over India come to learn from her, and many go on to teach the art themselves, further spreading the skills she has shared. This brings her a deep sense of fulfilment, knowing that she is helping others become self-sufficient.

To date, Yashaswee has taught over 5,000 art enthusiasts, an accomplishment that resonates with her core belief in the importance of self-sufficiency, especially for women. She is passionate about empowering others to enable them to achieve their dreams, goals, and hobbies. Helping women become independent and self-sufficient at such a young age stands as one of her proudest achievements, and she sees it as a meaningful contribution to their lives and her own vision for a more empowered community.

Yashaswee Sanghavi advises new artists to avoid copying others' work; instead, she encourages them to focus on learning techniques. In her view, creativity is essential in the art field, and aspiring artists should keep an open mindset, unrestrained by limitations, and always be eager to explore new methods. She emphasises three key qualities for success: mastering technique, maintaining patience, and resisting the urge to compare oneself with others. She firmly believes that with dedication and hard work, success is inevitable—every artist's journey is unique, and persistence will ultimately bring achievement.
