Yash is a multitasker who has achieved a lot at the young age of 19. He has delivered five TED talks, one of which, a Josh talk, garnered over 5 lakh views, and he has authored two novels.

Yash shares that he wrote his first novel, "A Celebration in Tribulation," in 2018 at the age of 16. His second novel is titled "Pandemic 2020: Rise of the Virus," for which he received two international awards. The first award came from the India Book of Records, and the second was from the Asia Book of Records, recognizing him as the youngest author to write a book about the coronavirus pandemic.

Furthermore, Yash says that he has been working as an author and professionally as a public speaker for the last four years. Especially after writing his first book and delivering his first TED talk, he received rave reviews nationally and internationally. The appreciation further encouraged him to pursue a career in writing and public speaking professionally.

Recalling his childhood, Yash belongs to Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. He mentions that he has always had a passion for writing and public speaking, as far as he can remember. He shares a memory that his parents told him: when he was 6-7 years old, he wrote several stories and poems that his parents used to upload on a web portal.

Talking of the struggles and hardships that he faced in his life, Yash confronted them during the initial phases of his professional life in 2018. That was because he was just 16. Most people were astonished by him as a young guy of 16 who wrote a novel and delivered speeches, but they were also intimidated by him. They either overcounted or undercounted him. But he beat the shackles of youthism and reverse ageism by showcasing his potential. So, whenever he got on stage, he did not bother about the biases in the minds of the audience. Though people judge him based on his age, he just focuses on his work, passion, and goal to inspire everyone around him with his words and his voice.

For people in public speaking and writing, one skill that they must have is flexibility, says Yash. You cannot expect the readership or the audience base of a public speech to be the same every time. You have to be flexible with the way you deliver the content or write a story or narrative. Based on the type of audience that you are catering to, you need to decide this.

Sharing his experiences, Yash says that he was once informed that he had to speak for the audience, which was a group of teenagers or youngsters. But once he met the audience, they were twice or three times his age. In that situation, as an effective communicator or public speaker, he had to be flexible and change his way of speaking, tone, and orality.

Yash’s role model is George R. R. Martin, the author of ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’, based on which we have the acclaimed series Game of Thrones. He likes the range of perspectives in his narratives, which inspires him. He tries to infuse that into his stories as well.

Advising aspirants in his field, Yash says that it is important to be unique. You can be inspired by someone; however, you must not copy them.

For him, both education and experience hold different values. Both of them have separate places in his life. He considers where he is right now or would be in the future because of both education and experience. It is the combination of both that counts in your life and makes you better than who you are.

Talking about leadership, Yash says that leadership is a quality that can be acquired and learned with time. If you have a passion for helping others and guiding others in a true sense, you are a leader.

In his free time, Yash loves to read for pleasure. Also, he enjoys photography, sketching, art, and so on.
