Help preserve the environment by recycling waste.
Yash Vardhan Sharma is an engineer and the founder of Urban Metals.
Yash belongs to Jaipur and completed his schooling there itself. Later, he completed his graduation as a mechanical engineer from the State University of New York (SUNY). Afterwards, he came to India and joined his family's business, gaining knowledge of the manufacturing industry. After a year, he started researching electronic waste recycling. He wanted to do something in the recycling field, and found electronic recycling a good opportunity for him.
After extensive research, he designed a machine to recycle metal waste and started his own project in March 2022.
Sharting his challenges, Yash says low awareness about the concept, and barriers to effective promotion created various issues in promoting his business. However, he is improvising the business by taking feedback from the stakeholders and making necessary changes in the organization.
Speaking of stress, Yash believes that if he is not sure of the direction or feels stressed, he takes a break from work, as it makes things clearer.
Yash believes that people should understand the importance of e-waste recycling as it is impacting the environment in several ways and causing air, water, and soil pollution.
Yash believes in "honesty and hard work," as honesty means being true to oneself and one's work, whereas hard work means not taking any shortcuts to success.
Yash suggests young people give importance to education, as it plays a prime role in shaping your career. Fundamentals are necessary to understand anything in order to achieve success in any field. He also suggests to engineers who are willing to start e-waste recycling that proper knowledge should be acquired in order to implement your plan in a better and more effective way.
