In order to do something more interesting and captivating, Yash founded his own fashion label, which aims to add a luxurious touch to your everyday wear.

Yash Rungta is the director and founder of Marquino, which is a women's loungewear brand in New Delhi with a focus on easy-wear clothing and cord sets.

Yash was born in Nepal and comes from a business family background. He later shifted to Delhi, India. Yash studied at different schools since his father wanted him to experience different cultural backgrounds. He was an introverted kid who had always wanted to own his own business.

Speaking about his college days, Yash shares that he landed his first internship at a company based in Mauritius, where he had to raise funds and generate money for the business. This was where his business journey started. Thereafter, Yash also worked for American Express.

Talking about his company, Yash says that Marquino was born out of his wish to shift from Nepal and start a new life in Delhi. Over there, he was in his family business of marbles, which he felt was not open to risks or new ideas. This was what made him switch his line and start his clothing brand with one of his friends who had fashion expertise. Yash got his company name from one of the marbles known as Marquino, which also means luxury.

Discussing his challenges, Yash says that there came a time in his business where he and his business partners had a difference of opinion and could not come to a consensus. In that situation, abiding by his father’s advice, Yash just did his part and let things fall into place eventually.

When asked about his mistakes, Yash says that when he initially started his business, he didn’t get any orders, which was a disappointment for him. He admits that his overconfidence and controlling power didn’t turn out well for his business. Lately, Yash feels happy with his business growth, and his customers' appreciation is what keeps him going.
