Yash Laddha is a young entrepreneur and co-founder of Pet Wagon, a mobile grooming service van for animals. He came up with this idea following his love for animals and wanting to put his creativity and ideas into practice as an entrepreneur.
Born in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Yash received his engineering degree from VIT Vellore and his MBA from Nirma University in Ahmedabad. Following the completion of his MBA, Yash joined Byjus and is currently working at Birlasoft.
Talking about his entrepreneurial pursuits, Yash shares that a pet dog was owned by one of his friends, and it would be taken to salons for spa services and grooming. But on the way to the salon, the dog would feel a bit anxious as it was accustomed to the homely environment. This was when he came up with the idea of starting a mobile grooming van for pets, realizing that there was a demand for convenient and stress-free grooming services for pets.
Yash faced several challenges in turning his idea into reality, including organizing grooming equipment in a van, finding the right pet groomers, obtaining necessary permits and licenses, and managing his client base efficiently. He also had to navigate the logistics of scheduling appointments and managing his client base while on the move, as grooming pets is a premium service. Despite these obstacles, Yash persevered and successfully turned his mobile grooming van into a successful business.
Sharing his pandemic experience, Yash shares that Pet Wagon was the best solution for pet owners during COVID times. It eliminated the need for travel while providing personalized care services for pets.
Yash focuses on satisfying customers and receiving positive feedback, which is their biggest achievement in running Pet Wagon. They have also been featured in newspapers and magazines. They take pride in providing exceptional customer service, going above and beyond to meet the unique needs of each pet and owner. Building strong relationships with clients is crucial for the success of Pet Wagon. Their dedication to continuous improvement has led to exploring new services and expanding their network of trusted veterinarians and groomers.
Yash plans to establish a fleet of mobile pet grooming vans and expand Pet Wagon franchises in various cities, thereby increasing accessibility and creating employment opportunities for pet lovers. They also aim to collaborate with local animal shelters and rescue organizations to promote pet adoption and animal welfare.
