A TGT-Sanskrit teacher, Yagya really feels blessed to have studied Sanskrit and having worked for its upliftment and propagation.

Dr. Yagya Ameta works as a TGT-Sanskrit at Alok School, Udaipur.

Yagya was born and raised in Udaipur. He studied at Maharana Sanket School till fifth grade. Then he studied at Central Academy. He completed his high school grades at Guru Govind Senior Secondary School.

Yagya shares that since his family was inclined toward spiritualism, after completing high school, he chose to get a Shastri in Sanskrit and Astrology. For that, he went to Banswara and lived there for three years to earn the same. Then he did his Acharya in Sanskrit from Jaipur. Thereafter, he did a Ph.D. in the same discipline. He also did a B.Ed. in Shiksha Shastri from MP.

Yagya says that he got to work for Sanskrit in Banswara. He worked with some groups for the upliftment and propagation of Sanskrit.

After completing his B.Ed. he worked in the education sector for about a year and then in 2008, he joined Alok School in Udaipur as a teacher of Sanskrit. At Alok school, besides teaching, he was also entrusted with looking after the Media and PR Department of the institution, Yagya says.

Talking about his role models, Yagya says that he considers his guru and P.hD. guide who aroused in him a love for Sanskrit, as his role models. Besides, the director of the school he teaches at is also his role model.

Talking about COVID, Yagya says that the pandemic was a deadly disease that hit the school education system the most. Though there were online classes, not every kid could get equally benefited from them as some children were not that motivated to learn online and some didn’t have the resources to attend the same, he says.

To the youth, Yagya advises them to hold onto their ideals and emulate Indian culture and traditions. Besides, he advises them that instead of having multiple goals and running in different directions, they should have one goal in life and do their best to achieve it.

To people, his message is that in essence, all religions teach the same thing which is to treat others the same way you would want them to treat you.
