Xavier never had a smooth ride in his professional journey. After stumbling a lot, he achieved success in the field of dance. He urges every aspiring dancer to be passionate and to work hard to be able to succeed in this profession.

Xavier Prasad J is the CEO and Founder of Xavier’s Dance Studio Pvt Ltd in Bengaluru. He has been successfully running this studio for the past twelve years.

Xavier says he was passionate about dance since childhood and later made it his profession. He belongs to Bengaluru. He graduated in Physics, Electronics and Mathematics and did his Masters in Philosophy from Saint Joseph’s College. Soon, he joined the Department of Social Work as a Lecturer in the same college. After working there for three years, he hopped on to dancing to make a career out of it.

Talking about his role models, Xavier says that he considers his mother, Master Kim Hong Jo and Father Ambrose Pinto as his role models. Because of their faith and belief in him, he was able to reach this position today.

Xavier says he struggled a lot during his college days. He faced a lot of failures as he was not getting selected in any of the teams and he felt his dance career was going downhill. But he never gave up. After one-and-a-half years of toil and travail, he was able to rise above all this. There came a point, when he used to choreograph his college teams and became a leader.

Regarding his achievements, Xavier says that he had choreographed for the NCC Directorate of Karnataka and Goa, which won laurels at the National Republic Day Parade, and it was the biggest achievement for him. Moreover, he has also choreographed for various big corporate houses, colleges for inter-college competitions and reality shows and has won more than four-hundred competitions at the state and national levels, which he feels is no less than an achievement.

Pointing out today’s youth, Xavier says that they are smart and quick learners. However, they want to succeed overnight, which is not possible because there is no shortcut to success. So he advises them to set their vision mindfully and put all their efforts, hard work with dedication to achieve their goals.
