Vishnu Joshi is from Udaipur. He is a Boxer and Martial Arts player.
Vishnu says that for the past forty years he has been in this field of Martial Arts and Boxing. He is associated with the Gurukul Academy and trains students in Karate, Boxing, KickBoxing, and Wushu.
He did his B.A. from Manikya Lal Verma College which comes under the Vidyapeeth University. Vishnu says that Mool Singh Pawar, who was a Physical Education teacher at Central School, was the one who motivated him to come into this field. He used to take Vishnu to the Arya Samaj Shakha and train him there. Vishnu was the first player from Rajasthan to win any medal at the National level.
In 1979, Vishnu secured the first position in boxing in Rajasthan. In 1985, Rajasthan became eligible to play at the Nationals as well and Vishnu participated in it. From 1979 to 1996, Vishnu remained a champion in Rajasthan with one gold, four silver, and nine bronze national medals to his name.
Vishnu opines that education is important to get a job. No one can become a sports coach without having the requisite degrees. However, experience is required to move forward in any field.
Vishnu tells us that in the Gurukul, they also take care of cows and dogs and feed them. He urges people to help each other and make this world a better place to live.
If given a Time Machine, he would like to go back to his childhood and work even harder and learn new things.
Vishnu thinks that nowadays youngsters only opt for Engineering and Medical, and the field of Physical Education is less opted. He advises the youth to give as much time as possible to Yoga and other forms of exercise.
In his free time, Vishnu likes to go trekking and jogging.
