Vishal is a Tattoo artist who explored many fields before pursuing it. He feels that youth today give up too quickly on their dreams and should not do that.

Vishal Singh Rana is the owner of Dragons Tattoo Studio, Dehradun.

Vishal is from Punjab. He did his schooling till the 10th standard from St. Soldier Divine Public School. After that, he did a three years diploma in Automobile Engineering and a one-year CAD-CAM integrated course.

Vishal says that he also used to work in a gym while pursuing the CAD-CAM course. During this time Vishal met with a serious accident and was admitted to the ICU. He recovered in two months and then one of his cousins asked him to come to Macau to work. For three years, he worked there in a casino and other places.

Vishal shares that his interest in drawing and sketching was from his school days itself. He was well known among teachers for this skill of his. He also kept honing the same while in Macau and used to draw on the walls of his flat.

After returning to India, he was without a job for six months. He then worked at Maruti but that did not interest him much. Vishal then came to know about Alien’s Tattoo studio and did a course in tattoo making from there. After that, he moved to Dehradun where his cousin lived, and started freelance working there. Slowly, he bought a small shop in Dehradun and started his Tattoo Studio.

Talking about his role models, Vishal says that his father is the one for him. Vishal admires his father’s hard work and efforts.

Vishal advises the youth to choose a field and dedicatedly work towards it. He says that we should not switch paths too quickly without even trying.

In his free time, he likes to spend time with his wife, listen to music, and sketch or talk to his parents whenever he feels demotivated.
