A classical singer, Vishal has been following the field of music since he was in school. He is striving hard to create his identity in the field of music.

Vishal Mathur is a classical singer from Ajmer, Rajasthan. He has taken classical music training from Pandit Anand Vaidhya.

Vishal  completed his schooling at the Army School of Nasirabad, a cantonment town in Ajmer district of Rajasthan. Though he was a naughty kid, he was very much interested in sports. He was a national-level athlete and a football player. Later, when he got the opportunity to learn music, he went to Paundit Anand Vaidya. He found the music world completely different from other fields. Then he decided to learn music more religiously. As a classical singer, he belongs to the  "Kirana Gharana", which is mainly associated with the "Khayal" style of classical singing.

Sharing about his journey, Vishal says that when he was in school, he used to sing casually. Someone once urged him to learn music properly, saying that it would help him improve his singing. So he began learning music, but he did not take his music learning seriously until he finished school. When he went to college, during the inter-college singing competition, he learned the value of classical music training. With the blessings of his Guruji and by using the music techniques taught by him, Vishal  won the competition. Vishal says this was the true beginning of his musical journey.

Speaking about his achievements, Vishal says he has won several titles in the field of music, like “Sur Saadhak” and “Swar Mani” and many more state and national level titles.

When asked about his mistakes, Vishal says the lives of musicians and singers  are full of mistakes. If they don't look back at their mistakes and rectify them, they won't be able to learn the nuances of music.

When asked about his role models, Vishal says he looks up to his guru, Pandit Anand Vaidhya, as a role model. He says his guru made him meet many dignitaries in the music field. But when he listened to music legend Pandit Bhimsen Joshi, he started worshiping him like a God.

In his free time, Vishal enjoys humming his classical music notes for the whole day, but he also enjoys playing football, cooking, and eating new dishes.

Vishal lives by the motto, "Keep working and do not worry about the outcome. Whatever happens, happens for the good."

Vishal suggests to the youth that if one has the conviction to follow their inner voice to do something, then they could definitely achieve their goals. So, be focused, passionate, and consistent, and put all your heart into the field you are passionate about to achieve success.
