Be humble and nice in whatever situation God keeps you in.
Vishal Arora is a co-founder of “Yog for Life”, an innovative and revolutionary yoga-based platform that aims to enhance the overall well-being of individuals.
Born and raised in Varanasi, Vishal completed his education at one of the most prestigious institutions in India, IIT Roorkee. With over fifteen years of experience with various companies, Vishal believed that his true calling lay in doing something that would make a difference in people's lives. Hence, he returned to his hometown and started ‘Yog for Life’, offering exceptional yoga services and training for everyone.
Vishal's childhood was filled with love and adventure in the city of Varanasi, where he lived with his middle-class joint family. He has fond memories of his upbringing and the deep-rooted culture of his hometown. These experiences shaped his passion for making a difference in people's lives in the best possible way.
After graduating from IIT with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Vishal began his professional journey in the corporate world. He started off working in Chennai for two years before moving to the NCR to be closer to Varanasi. During his career, he had the opportunity to work with several start-ups and eventually landed a position with The Times of India's Internet division, where he worked on projects since their inception, which gave him an insight into start-ups. Despite experiencing failure with his own AI start-up "Lipi Shala", Vishal regards it as a valuable lesson that helped him discover his true calling of making a difference in people's lives.
After his "Lipi Shala" experience, Vishal rejoined the corporate world and started working with "Adobe" the software giant. While he was working there, the COVID wave hit, and the lockdown was imposed. When he was working from home, he used to watch yoga videos to keep himself motivated. During the lockdown, he felt that there was a dearth of good-quality yoga videos online. That's why the idea of an online platform for yoga came to him. This is how he started with the Android app "Yoga for Life". He has received a huge response from his customers, and recently his app has had more than one lakh downloads. He has also launched his platform on the browser, which is also receiving huge responses and blessings from his customers.
When it comes to his mistakes, Vishal says he takes his life philosophically. He says he was a meritorious student throughout his education. Excelling in academics and at work was like a piece of cake for him. He believes that when you get everything easily and never experience failure, it makes you arrogant and egoistic. So, he feels that failure should be an early experience in life. Failures make you realize that your success is not yours alone. God's blessings and the whole ecosystem of your company, family, and other people work for your success. When he tasted failure for the first time during "Lipi Shala" his start-up, it made him realize that his success was not because of him. After this realization, he became humbler, and now, in the hardships, he stays calm and composed, which keeps his people at peace.
When asked about his role models, Vishal says he considers his parents as his first role models. He says his managers in his professional life and many other colleagues from whom he has learned a lot are also his inspirations. As an entrepreneur, he follows Sridhar Vembu, CEO of Zoho Corporate Group.
Vishal's life mantra is "To see opportunities in such a way that one can be successful in them in how many ways." He also goes with this in that he always follows the path of success and is not afraid of failure.
To young aspirants, Vishal says there is a great opportunity in the field of yoga, and because of the stress of daily life, there is a huge demand for Yoga and meditation practices. Try to understand yoga holistically, because only then will you be able to provide the complete benefits of yoga to your clients.
