Virti Shah is the owner of Little Joey's Pre-School and Little Pirates Pre-School in Surat.
Virti was born and brought up in Surat. She belongs to a business-class family. She is a B.Com. She says, in her family, girls were given an education but they are not allowed to do any job.
Sharing about her personal life, Virti says that she had liked to teach since her childhood. She always used to teach her younger brother. She got married after her graduation and went to Australia with her husband. She stayed there for 10 years.
Talking about the journey in her life, Virti says that her husband was very supportive and motivated her to do a job and adjust to the culture in Australia. She also received support and training from her boss at Dymocks Bookstore, where she worked in the back office of the online department. She also did a bridge course in Australia and did accounts work, too.
Talking about her entry into the daycare and preschool field, Virti says that she was inspired by the concept of daycare facilities and their ways to treat children in Australia. Both of her daughters were born and brought up there and they received excellent love and care.
When she came back to India, Virti had a clear vision to start a daycare. But she found that this concept was not so popular here, and so she added the word 'school' with her organization.
Talking about her struggles, Virti says that she has to deal with a lot of issues with the parents of the kids of her daycare. She does a lot of counseling and tries to solve minor issues of the parents. She also promotes reading culture for her students. Also dealing with the kids is her next biggest challenge. She has to deal with stubborn kids, anger management issues, developmental issues and disorders, and speech delays of the children. Sometimes parents ' attitude becomes the biggest challenge for her, says Virti.
Virti considers positive feedback from her students’ parents as her biggest achievement.
When asked about role models in her life, Virti says she considers her husband as her role model who always motivates and supports her in every matter. Regarding values inculcated in her, she gives credit to her mother. She also follows Leena Eicher who was the Co-Founder of Kangaroo Kids Pre-School in Mumbai.
Advising the aspirants to this field, Virti says that they should have lots of love, care and patience with the kids to start such organizations. She feels that education is secondary in such fields. She advises building a bond and connection with the kids.
To one and all, Virti advises reading books. She also advises them to manifest good things and put their hundred percent effort with heart and soul into the work they do.
When free, Virti goes for a walk with headphones and listens to music. She meditates a lot and also likes to read books in her free time. Her favorite book is- The Power of the Subconscious mind.
