Virendra Pratap Singh is the owner of an IT and e-commerce business. He hails from Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
Recalling his childhood, Virendra says that he was born in Gwalior, where he completed his schooling. Thereafter, he moved to Indore, where he completed his higher studies. Due to certain circumstances, Virendra dropped out of BBA.
When asked about his role models, Virendra says he does not have one in particular but believes that you get to learn something from every individual.
Describing his struggles, Virendra shares that he started his journey as a courier boy who used to deliver business quotations etc to factories and businesses. Soon, he realised that he should be doing something for himself rather than working for a company. Thereafter, Virendra left his job and started brainstorming to start his own venture.
But it wasn’t an easy journey, and he failed multiple times while facing financial constraints. Virendra then decided to join an IT firm, which offered him a low salary. He worked there for a few days and derived valuable lessons in the process, which he then used to launch his own setup.
Drawing a comparison between education and experience, Virendra says that though education is important, one can still get ahead in life through one’s life experiences and putting one's skill sets to use.
Advising the youth, Virendra suggests they identify their skills and then work on viable options.
When under stress, Virendra listens to music to rejuvenate himself. He also likes playing cricket, which makes him happy.
