Viraj moulded his ways to chase his childhood dream of becoming a Radio Jockey. He transitioned careers, but realising his true calling, he decided to stick with it.

Viraj Bhavinkumar Bhavsar is an RJ at Top FM hosting an evening show called ‘Total Time Pass.’ He also writes poems on social media.

Viraj had an inclination towards Radio since his childhood and desired to see himself on the other side entertaining the listeners. He is also an Interior Designer by profession and then decided to take up a different route in the media industry. Viraj was also influenced and inspired by Vidya Balan’s role as a Radio Jockey in Munna Bhai MBBS. He was born and brought up in Ahmedabad.

With an inclination towards Science, Viraj took up B.Sc only to realise that it is not meant for him and he left that course. Viraj later identified his interest in Drawing and took up Interior Designing to pursue his interest.

Talking about covid, Viraj shares that he was in his last year of college and his internship as an RJ was going on as well when Covid struck. He spent his time attending online classes on Interior Designing, however owing to the pandemic his internship was called off since it involved going to the office. After a few months, he got an opportunity to work as a Copywriter and a Producer in the Radio field, but he declined both the offers.

Then Viraj decided to take a break and come back to practice as an Interior Designer. But somewhere he knew that RJ is his true calling and he started finding ways to pursue it. Viraj had to go through various exercises and spent one month at the radio station. Luckily, he secured an internship in My FM while his college was still going on. He used to attend his classes in the morning and intern in the evenings.

Thereafter, Viraj also got the opportunity to work as an intern for Radio Mirchi. He made his first show as a Radio Jockey in April 2021.

Whenever Viraj gets upset and demotivated in life, he listens to ‘Zindagi ki Yahin’ from the Mr India movie. He feels that one should have self-talk and be confident in themselves.
