Aspiring to become one of the best teachers in Udaipur, Vinod is a passionate and hardworking teacher. He is constantly looking for new ways to engage and motivate his students. Vinod draws inspiration by seeing his students and their parents happy.

Vinod Kumar Choubisa is a mathematics teacher currently teaching at Stanvard Senior Secondary School in Udaipur.

Vinod has been teaching at Stanvard Senior Secondary School for seven years. The director of Stanvard is his childhood friend. Prior to working here, he had been teaching at Abhinav Senior Secondary School for 23 years.

Born in Piladar village near Udaipur, Vinod did his elementary schooling in his native place. He passed secondary school from Guru Gobind Singh Boys School, where he had befriended the present director of Stanvard School. Later, he shifted to Udaipur and completed his higher secondary education here. He graduated from Vidya Bhawan Rural Management Institute and also did his B.Ed. from Kashmir University while doing a job in Kashmir.

Vinod aims to provide the best education, and in 27 years, he has given a hundred percent result more than 15 times. Some of his previous students and alumni are studying at IITs and other reputed institutes too.

Vinod has had a passion for mathematics since childhood. He also states that when he was in class seven, he used to teach students of class ten. His knowledge of mathematics was exceptional, and ever since he was able to read and write, he studied mathematics with great interest. As he grew older, he knew that he had a latent ability to educate others and therefore decided to take up the mantle of teaching. He enjoys his role as a teacher, and he acts as the best guide for a student as he has vast experience and knowledge in the academic field.

When asked about his struggles, Vinod says he faced a lot of financial and other difficulties. He had a big family, which included nine siblings. Vinod narrates that there were times when they didn’t have money to study or give exams but faced all the difficulties with grit and determination.

Vinod opines that aspiring maths teachers must be hardworking and put in consistent efforts. He says that teachers must not teach to earn money. Rather, they should have the attitude to work for the betterment of their students.

Recalling the times of COVID-19, Vinod says that online teaching was the only option available at that time. Initially, he found it challenging to work with laptops and computers but later, he became very comfortable with them and embraced this technical know-how.

Talking about childhood memories, Vinod recalls the times when he played with friends as some of his happiest memories. He is still in contact with most of his childhood friends, as most of them belonged to his village. He believes that it is essential to grow with the changing times for survival.

He believes that a teacher is a student's childhood role model and that a teacher must lead and educate children by example. Students should be motivated and assisted in learning interactively while maintaining discipline. In his humble opinion, students should be taught in an engaging and comprehensible manner, failing which they may face difficulties in core subjects such as mathematics.

In his free time, Vinod likes watching movies. One of his childhood friends introduced him to movies, and he enjoyed going to cinemas with them during his school holidays.
