Even after losing a golden opportunity of getting into a government job, Vinay was never disappointed and discouraged. He collected himself and went into the teaching field to constantly try to take his students to great heights.

Vinay Kumar is currently working as the Faculty of Reasoning at Anushka Academy, Udaipur. He prepares the students for competitive exams by providing guidance related to paper patterns and types of questions asked in various exams. He says the academy provides multiple classes for different subjects like Hindi, Maths, English and General Awareness.

Vinay has a total experience of five years in teaching at different institutes at several places and has just recently joined Anushka Academy a month ago. As a teacher his responsibility is to teach students time management so as to attempt more questions in a prescribed time limit to score high marks.

Vinay spent his childhood in Alwar. His hobby has always been to play cricket and he played it at the district level too.

Vinay describes that reasoning is not a subject at all, instead it is just a mental ability that everyone should have. By putting it as a subject, the examiner just wants to check your knowledge and creativity, how better and different you can think upon. Hence, reasoning is just a way of thinking. To come into this field, first of all Vinay has cobbled up his own concepts and tried to understand things to make simple tricks on them to make it easier for students to understand.

Vinay considers his teacher Mahendra Khandelwal his role model because of his teaching pedagogy. He got inspired to become a teacher and Mahendra taught him methods, concepts and techniques of teaching which Vinay uses today in his teaching.

Vinay’s father expired in 2009 and after him there was no one who can truly guide Vinay and that made him take a wrong decision in life that he still regrets. In 2012, he got selected as Junior Accountant and to take advice on that, he went to a person whom he believed in. He advised Vinay not to take up that job and instead told him to prepare for an officer level post for which Vinay could not clear the interview and he lost his opportunity to get into the government job. Vinay feels that it was the biggest mistake of his life.

Vinay feels that the education sector is the most growing sector because learning never stops. Before Corona, students preferred classroom teaching but during the lockdown, students shifted to online platforms. Hence, education never stopped.

If Vinay gets a chance to go back in time, he wants to relive his childhood again. Seeing the childhood of his children, he remembers his own and wants to relive those moments again.

Vinay likes meeting new people everyday, giving them knowledge, building his own concepts and sharing them with students. He has liked teaching since childhood because he has a great convincing power and that is why he got into this field.

To become a teacher, Vinay says you should first build your concepts and have command over your concepts. Choose your subject as per your interest and knowledge, work hard on it, bring more refinement, find short tricks to remember the concepts and bring confidence in yourself. You should be confident in facing people and be able to convince them. Only then would you be able to become a better teacher as teaching is a very challenging job.

In his free time, Vinay loves to sleep and roam. Also, he is a food lover.
