His passion for badminton led Vikram into the sports field. He is currently motivated to provide proper badminton coaching to the younger generation.

Vikram Singh Shekhawat is a Badminton Coach and owner of Rajputana Badminton Academy.

Vikram hails from Jaipur. He completed his BA in Jaipur itself. He has always been in the field of badminton, as he has been playing badminton for the last 22 years.

Sharing about his journey, Vikram says he started playing badminton with his coach in his colony. Later, he joined a stadium to follow his passion for badminton. Slowly, year after year, his passion became his profession. He also trained in Hyderabad and Bangalore. He has also been a Rajasthan champion and represented the state  six times in the National Games. In 2017, he started his own badminton academy.

When asked about his role models, Vikram says his father is his role model, as his father motivated him. His coach, Govardhan Reddy, also inspired him which led him to win a silver medal in national competitions.

Talking about his mistakes, Vikram says everyone makes mistakes, and his mistake was that he couldn’t reach the level he wanted to. However, he is training students to achieve that success. Another mistake of his was that he often ignored the teaching of his teachers when he was a child.

In his free time, Vikram likes to play with his one-year-old kid. It also helps him attain mental peace.

Vikram’s life mantra is "Hard work is the only shortcut towards success."

Advising the youth, Vikram says if you want to enter the field of sports, you should get the right training from the right institution. It is necessary to have basic knowledge in order to learn effectively and achieve success in sports.
