Vikram Parashar is the owner of Lucky Handicraft in Pushkar where he sells handmade products and wooden items. He hails from Pushkar and has been running his shop for the last twenty years.

Vikram supplies his products In India and also exports them outside of India. He is a double MA and wanted to get into a government job; failing that, he tried his options elsewhere. Inspired by one of his friends in Delhi, Vikram got into this business. He manufactures leather items and carpets himself and procures the rest of the items from Jodhpur.

Describing his struggles, Vikram says that his idea of starting a business was not well supported by his family owing to a lack of funds. Thereafter, Vikarm was helped by his friends and acquaintances, from whom he borrowed some money to get started with his business.

Sharing his pandemic experience, Vikram says that he strived to do his best to help the poor and also controlled his expenses.

When asked about his role models, Vikram says he draws inspiration from his friends, who have supported him in his business.

Drawing a comparison between education and experience, Vikram says that he considers education to be the foremost, after which experience follows.

Vikram advises people to work in their area of interest, stay grounded, and remain connected with their cultural roots.
