Helping people Capture the moments of life and preserving them as a memory, Vikas Mehta has made a name for himself as an exceptional photographer and cinematographer.

Vikas Mehta hails from a small village near Udaipur. He completed his primary education from Salumber. He came to Udaipur and acquired his secondary education along with his diploma in CS-IT from Pacific University. From the very start, Vikas was fond of photography. When he got a new mobile phone, he started clicking pictures everywhere, of the scenery, the sunrise and the sunsets. Soon, he realized that  CS-IT was not meant for him and photography was his passion.

He went to Mumbai to pursue his studies in Photography and editing from Arena Animation. Upon the completion of his course, Vikas was offered a very low paying job of editing videos. He knew if he would take the job, he would not be able to progress much in his career. Hailing from Udaipur, he knew going back to the city would present him with a lot of opportunities, as Udaipur is a hotspot for celebrity weddings and shoots. So he came back and started his own production company which offers services like wedding, indoor, outdoor, portrait and pre-wedding photoshoots.

When Vikas came back from Mumbai, he had a lot of friends in Udaipur who were doing good in the field of Photography. With their help, and his determination, he started taking pre-wedding and wedding projects. He got his breakthrough when he was given a chance to do a grand coverage of a very big event, from its initial build up till its end, from an Udaipur based company called ‘Good Dot’ in Thyagraj Stadium, Delhi. Vikas says that covering such a big stadium, with almost fifty thousand people in it, was a very big achievement for him.

Vikas says he is a role model for himself, as he has learned everything from his own mistakes in life. He is an easy goer and believes in going with the flow.

For the youngsters, Vikas advises them to hop into the field of Photography only if they are passionate about it. He says that it’s a very good career option but one which requires a lot of patience and an eye for creativity, to capture every special moment. For the parents of the younger generations, Vikas urges them to give their children a chance at what they are passionate about, so that they can learn and grow. He urges them to support their children in whatever profession they choose.

If he could go back in time, Vikas would like to go back to his tenth standard and revert the decision he made by choosing Science as his subject for his senior secondary, as he was not very good at academics.

Vikas says that Photography is an art and it takes time to process things. He says that it is very important for a photographer to take their time and analyse the whole scene so that they can understand the angles and levels at which pictures would turn out to be the best.

His success mantra is taking his time to provide the best output for his clients. He says he only works when he is in a mood to work and doesn’t like rushing things up.
