Hailing from a middle class family, it was not easy for Vikas to follow his passion for Fine Arts. However, he always believed in himself and today he’s a known Portrait Artist based in Indore.

Vikas Gothi is a Portrait Artist based in Indore and runs his own fine arts coaching classes by the name The Art Horizon there.

Vikas shares that he was born in a middle class family in Indore. He was always interested in Fine Arts and wanted to make a career in it. However, hailing from a middle class family, he had to face challenges to follow his passion. But he always chose to follow Fine Arts and gradually made progress in it.

Vikas thinks that if you follow your passion heartily then money and everything else will automatically follow. Initially, he started with a small order of portraits but today he is doing well and is a known portrait artist in Indore, as he says.

Talking about his struggles, Vikas says that initially he lacked proper guidance to work in the right direction as an artist. Later, he also had to face apprehensions from his family and acquaintances as they initially didn’t approve of his decision to make Fine Arts as his profession.

To aspiring artists, Vikas advises them to keep following their passion even if your parents don’t support you. Besides, he advises them never to copy any artist and always be their original self as an artist.

Vikas thinks that Art is a therapy. He says, during the Covid pandemic, people started learning Painting and Drawing and due to that he also got many new students for his online classes.

If he could go back in time via a Time Machine, Vikas would want to relive his childhood as he thinks that one’s childhood is the most positive and innocent period of their life. Besides, he would want to take to Fine Arts early-on.

In his spare time, Vikas likes to cook food, listen to music, read books and travel.

Vikas thinks that ups and downs are a part of life. One should keep working without worrying about them and about the results of your actions.
