Vijendra Kumar Maurya is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science Engineering and the Department of Electronics and Communication at Geetanjali Institute of Technical Studies, Udaipur.
Talking about his professional journey, Vijendra says that he has contributed several research papers to reputed international journals. He has guided over 25 MTech theses and has more than six years of industry experience in the manufacturing sector. Vijendra also served as a mentor to students participating in the India Hackathon held in Chennai, where his guidance led his students to secure prizes.
Discussing his early days, Vijendra says he belonged to a small village in Ayodhya district, Uttar Pradesh. He finished his schooling in the village, after which he moved to Haryana to pursue his graduation. Vijendra did his MSc in Electronics from Jhansi and an MTech from C-DAC Noida. He later went on to pursue his PhD.
When asked about his role models, Vijendra says he draws inspiration from his paternal grandmother, who was spiritual and had a great belief in God. He adds that his grandmother taught him to be honest and have faith in God.
If Vijendra had a time machine to go back in time, he would visit his college days and reunite with his friends.
Drawing a comparison between education and experience, Vijendra says that education is the gateway to future opportunities.
In his message to the youth, Vijendra says that they should respect and trust their elders. He suggests they study their culture to understand the nation better.
Vijendra advises aspiring engineers to have a basic knowledge of their stream and be ready to put in hard work. He advises all parents not to force their children but to let them choose a field of their interest.
