Describing his struggles, Varun says that his father and uncle both were established in their professions, and when they got to know that he wanted to become a tattoo artist, they looked down on him for his choice of career. However, he says, he worked really hard to create his identity as a tattoo artist, and today the same people who once doubted him, proudly introduce him to others.
When asked about his role models, Varun says that Mr. Saini, a tattoo artist, is his role model. Besides, Lalit, who helped him in his ups and downs, is a role model to him.
Sharing his COVID experience, Varun says that during the pandemic he started sketching once again and thus honed his sketching and drawing skills.

Furthermore, he advises them not to think of tattooing as a business, they should become good tattoo artists first and then think of something else.
