Dr. Vanshika Bhatia is an assistant professor at Management Education and Research Institute, Delhi.
Vanshika was born in Delhi. She has done her Ph.D. from Jaipur. She also worked as a teacher in a women-centric university there while pursuing her doctorate. This accentuated her interest in the field of teaching.
After coming back to Delhi, she worked at the Trinity Institute of Professional Studies as an assistant professor for a year.
Vanshika says that she wanted to be a wildlife photographer. However, being the only child, her parents were not in favor of a profession with risks like it had and hence Vanshika started teaching photography.
Vanshika feels proud when her students come to her to share their experiences and acknowledge the importance of things taught by her.
Vanshika laments not starting teaching early in her life. She says that she waited for her Ph.D. to get completed and then started teaching. She would have grown much more in the field if she would have started early is what she feels.
Talking about experience and education, Vanshika says that it is very important to have basic knowledge and experience helps in grooming that knowledge. She feels that education has a little edge over experience.
Talking about the academic field, Vanshika says that a teacher has to be neutral and just to every student. A teacher also has to be creative and witty at times to keep the class interested.
Talking about her role models, Vanshika says that her parents have always played an important role in her life. Also, her guide, Dr. Garima Srivastav, and husband, Anuj, have been constant supports and guides to her.
In her free time, she likes to watch movies and read books.
