Vanshika Bajaj is a Makeup Artist and the Managing Director of Vanshika Beauty Studio. She belongs to Kota.
Vanshika did her B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Jaipur. She believes that she is a very creative individual and loved to draw and paint in her childhood. She loves to play with colors and because makeup also involves creativity with colors, she is currently working as a Makeup Artist.
Recalling her childhood, Vanshika says that she was a very introverted kind of person in her early age. She says that to bring herself out of that introverted space, she started talking to people during her college and participated in college events and other public events like Femina Miss India, Elite Miss Rajasthan, Jaipur Kottiyoor Show, and more.
When asked how she got interested in the makeup field, Vanshika says that her mother started Vanshika Beauty Studio in 2008 in a single room. She says that since her childhood she had been seeing her mother working hard to expand her business and develop a happy clientele. Vanshika says that she started learning and implementing hair styling while she was in her 8th standard. Thereafter, during COVID, she began learning the basics of makeup from her mother and then went to Delhi to attend a few international level classes in order to hone her skills.
Sharing a brief about her journey, Vanshika says that her journey has been full of ups and downs. She says that her journey was a roller-coaster ride yet an interesting one.
Speaking about her learnings from her business, Vanshika says that she has learned time management, keeping a balance between things, and being patient. The most important thing she learned from her business is how to run a business.
Sharing her life mantra, Vanshika says that she closely follows a quote, “A problem becomes a problem if you believe it to be so, and often others see you as you see yourself.”
Talking about her challenges, Vanshika says that every client who comes for makeup or a hairstyle has their own unique requirements. Therefore, one needs to gain enough experience to make their clients happy. She says that in the field of makeup, it is very crucial to have a good client experience and an artist needs to analyze the requirements of each and every client.
Regarding her mistakes, Vanshika says that making mistakes is part of human nature. She has also made small mistakes in her journey and has learned from them. However, there have been no major mistakes during her journey.
When asked about her achievements, Vanshika says that she was crowned as Elite Miss Rajasthan, Kota. Apart from this, she says that during her college, she was part of the entrepreneurship cell and arranged various events, internship fairs, women's talks, and more. Further, she adds that she was selected by several big companies like Microsoft, Amazon, etc during her college.
Talking about her role models, Vanshika says that not only humans but also things can play the part of a role model. However, talking about the main role models of her journey, Vanshika says her parents have been her role models since her childhood.
In her free time, Vanshika loves listening to music, singing, dancing, doing calligraphy, and hairstyling.
Vanshika believes that learning makeup is a never-ending journey. The artists need to keep themselves updated according to the trends and keep on achieving things.
To deal with stress, Vanshika prefers taking long breaths and keeping herself away from overthinking. Also, she prefers listening to music to keep herself calm.
To the youngsters, Vanshika advises them to pursue something of their interest. She says that if you pursue a career that is not of your choice, you would never be able to excel in that field. Interest and passion are very important factors to achieve perfection and excel in any field.
To the makeup aspirants, Vanshika says that makeup is a very interesting field. It helps you learn creativity, client interaction, and more. So, she advises the aspirants to take time, learn things, implement them on their clients, and always work on client satisfaction.
