A government teacher, Vandana has been teaching mathematics to primary students. Despite initial confusion, she discovered her passion for teaching after her father's advice.

Vandana Mehra is working as a government teacher in Baran district of Rajasthan. She has been working in the education field for the past few years. She teaches mathematics to the primary students.

Vandana says she never had any clue about her career and used to be very confused about what she wanted to do. However, after completing her education, following the advice of her father, who himself is a teacher, she discovered her passion for teaching and decided to pursue a career in education.

Vandana has completed her schooling in the Science stream and has also done a  Teacher's Training course. After that, she enrolled for graduation in the Arts stream and is now pursuing an M.A. in History.

Remembering her childhood, Vandana says she misses her time spent with her elder sister. They used to play together and fight too, creating a strong bond that still holds a special place in Vandana's heart. Despite the distance between them now, they make sure to stay connected and cherish the memories they created during their childhood.

Speaking about her hard times, Vandana says her father had an accident and was unable to work for several months. This put a strain on the whole family, but Vandana and her family pulled together to support each other and make ends meet. Now her father has recovered well and has started doing his job again, but the experience taught Vandana the importance of resilience and the power of family unity.

Another challenging time for Vandana was when she faced failure while attempting to pass government job exams. She says people other than family make you feel bad about your failure and make you doubt your own abilities. But her perseverance and dedication helped her bounce back from the disappointment. She decided to use the experience as a learning opportunity and focus on improving her skills for future opportunities. Despite the setbacks, Vandana remains determined to achieve her goals and is grateful for the unwavering support of her family throughout her journey.

Vandana looks up only to her father, who always paved the way for her to get a government job and always encouraged her to never give up. He has been her biggest source of inspiration and motivation, constantly reminding her of her potential and pushing her to strive for excellence. With his guidance, Vandana has learned the importance of hard work and perseverance, and she is determined to make him proud by achieving success in her chosen career path.

When asked whether education or experience matter more, Vandana says she thinks experience plays a more crucial role in shaping one's life. She believes that while education provides a strong foundation, it is the practical knowledge gained through experience that truly sets individuals apart in the professional world. Vandana believes that hands-on experience allows individuals to develop problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a deeper understanding of their field, ultimately leading to success in their chosen career path.

Vandana advises the youngsters to listen to their parents, elders, and teachers, as they have a wealth of wisdom and experience to offer. She believes that their guidance can help shape one's character and provide valuable insights that may not be found in textbooks or lectures. Additionally, Vandana says that if the elders are imposing discipline and setting boundaries, it is important for the youngsters to understand that it is for their own benefit. By following these rules and regulations, they can learn self-discipline and develop a strong work ethic, which are essential qualities for achieving success in any career path.

After her working hours. Vandana enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys cooking new dishes for her family.

For the youth, Vandana advises them to develop a bond and unity with everyone around them, as this can lead to a supportive and positive environment. She believes that building strong relationships with peers, mentors, and colleagues can provide valuable guidance, opportunities for growth, and a sense of belonging. Additionally, Vandana encourages young people to actively seek out diverse experiences and perspectives, as it can broaden their horizons and help them develop empathy and understanding towards others.
