A fervent believer in gender equality, Usha manifested her beliefs in her life by being a working woman.

Usha Mali is a Lab Assistant at Vidya Bhawan Sr. Sec. School.

Usha was born and raised in Udaipur. She did her secondary schooling at Gyan Mandir Sr. Sec. School, and switched to Jagdish Chowk Sr. Sec. Girls School for her higher schooling, as her preferred Science stream was not available there. Then, she pursued her B.Sc at MG College, followed by B.Ed in 2009 and later PG in Sociology.

Usha began her teaching career with a job at Sukhadia Siksha Niketan, Payada, and switched to Siksha Niketan, Ganesh Ghati after a year and a half. Then, she did her B.Ed, and began working at the Presidency School following its completion. After some time, she got associated with a project run by the Vidya Bhawan Society, and after working there for two years, in 2011 she got a job as a Lab Assistant there.

Talking about role models in her life, Usha says that her father is her role model, who taught her vital life skills, and provided quality education to her and her siblings despite financial hardships.

During her free time, Usha likes dancing with her children and cooking various dishes.

Drawing a comparison between education and experience, Usha says that she believes experience is more important in life as it keeps brushing up our skills through regular practice.

Advising the younger generation, Usha says that whatever you do, do it with complete focus. She also advises them to value their time.
