Upasna Srivastava is a clinical psychologist, psychotherapist, career counsellor, guide, and mentor. In addition, she works as a CSR facilitator and mentor in politics. She encourages and mentors students to advance in their careers. She also imparts to children useful skills for the future. Her thesis, which is currently being worked on, is on social media addiction. She has also taught kids about new therapies and procedures, as well as the hazards of social media addiction.

She shares that she oversees government initiatives, and it is via these initiatives, National Health Missions, and other government agencies and committees that she mentors the kids. She has mentored and coached over 4000 kids, and she has done so in a variety of states, including Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Karnataka. She has supervised several students while working with the Buddy4Study India Foundation. Currently, she serves as a counsellor and psychologist for Honda India Foundation and Skilled India academic foundation.

Sharing her achievements, Upasna mentions that she was a gold medalist in her master's program, which made her parents proud. During her tenure with a social group, she also received the Employee of the Year award. Additionally, she has been honored by several government schools in Rajasthan and Haryana with awards such as ‘Best Mentor’ and ‘Best Career Guide.’

Upasna comes from a small community and town where awareness about education is limited. Despite this, she dedicated herself to her education, believing it to be essential for everyone. In her view, education provides the foundation to understand morals and achieve financial independence. She acknowledges facing significant challenges in school and college but persevered through hard work and determination. Upasna credits her family's support for her success. She is passionate about assisting financially insecure students or those lacking resources with the application process, interviews, documents, and scholarships.

As she reflects on her early years, Upasna reveals she hails from Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh. She earned her master's degree in clinical psychology from Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University in Jaunpur. Following this, she underwent training at Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University and completed various minor degree and diploma programs there. Additionally, she completed a clinical hypnotherapy course at Gujarat Forensic Sciences University (GFSU). Currently, Upasna is pursuing a PhD in clinical psychology at G.D. Goenka University in Gurugram.

When asked about her own role models, Upasna believes that each of us has the ability to be a role model. She asserts that her primary source of inspiration is the ultimate power, as she is a devoted follower of the Bhagavad Gita and a devotee of Lord Krishna. She also draws motivation from her parents, who overcame great adversity and had to start anew. Upasna firmly believes that we can all be our own role models and find inspiration from within.

She finds great inspiration in the Bhagavad Gita's statement, "Do whatever is your duty, do not think about what will be the result in the future." According to her, if you put your mind to anything, you will eventually find that a spiritual force propels you forward and leads to your natural development.

She suggests that individuals aspiring to work in psychology should possess patience and effective communication skills. Upasna dispels the misconception that psychologists can read people's minds, emphasizing that behavioral scientists observe how people behave. In her line of work, empathy is especially crucial, as clients confide their issues. She urges the Indian government to mentor, inspire, and assist highly talented youngsters who have not had opportunities to advance in their careers. Prioritizing their education above all else can prevent students from falling behind in their careers and from getting lost in this materialistic world.
