A Businessman based in Udaipur city, Umesh Nagori was a bright student who started his business upon his father’s advice. Starting small, today he is making huge strides in the Marble & Granite industry of the city.

Umesh Nagori is a Partner at Rock Granites and Marbles and Rock Developers Pvt Ltd. in Udaipur. Besides, he is also a member of the Udaipur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Udaipur Marble Association, and Rotary Club, Udaipur.

Umesh was born and raised in Udaipur. He completed his schooling and B.Sc in Udaipur itself. He completed his M.Sc. from Saurashtra University, Gujarat.

Umesh says that he was the topper in his masters. But his father wanted him to come back to Udaipur and start a business here itself. He came back to Udaipur and started small with a stone-crushing business and then expanded it to the manufacture of mosaic tiles. In 1993, he started a Granite business. In 2009, he started a construction company by the name Rock Developers in Udaipur itself.

Umesh takes inspiration from Ratan Tata, who lives simply but thinks highly.

Talking about Covid, Umesh says that during the first pandemic ensued lockdown, he enjoyed spending time with his grandson. However, during the second lockdown, he started feeling frustrated as he could not fulfill his work commitments. Besides, he distributed masks and kaadha. Furthermore, he says that the Udaipur Marble Association also extended monetary help to the government bodies by providing them with respirators.

Umesh says that hard work and patience are paramount to becoming successful in life. Besides, he says that one should be dedicated to their work, and if one is dedicated to their work then it will always keep them young.

In his spare time, Umesh likes to be with his family, grandson and listen to old songs of Rafi Saheb, etc. Besides, he is also fond of traveling.

Talking about his childhood days, Umesh says that though there were some restrictions, they were carefree days of his life.

Umesh doesn’t think he is a born leader. He has developed leadership qualities with time. His leadership style is such that he doesn’t mind accepting suggestions of those younger than him in his team.
