Umang Bhatteja is an entrepreneur who thinks that only education cannot take you places until you develop extra skills. He feels that a business is all about a good idea and not only money.

Umang Bhatteja is the owner of UB enterprises, a firm dealing in leather goods, in Udaipur.

Umang shares that he is in the e-commerce field and trades in leather goods through online partners like Amazon and Flipkart. He has been in this field for the past five years.

Umang says that he realized soon in life that only education will not suffice to create a good future. From then he started learning new skills and searching for a field to work in. Umang has worked as a photo editor and also in a logistic company before starting his own venture.

Umang shares that there were times when he needed help but no one was there to help him. Today, he considers it his achievement that he is in a position where he can help people in solving their problems.

Talking about COVID-19, Umang shares that it taught us the difference between necessity and luxury and how it is important to save money for the future. He helped his employees at that time by not deducting their salaries.

Talking about the business field, Umang says that business can be started by two things: Money and Idea. If someone has a good idea, anyone would invest in it. However, by only money, a good business cannot be created as the concept of the business also matters a lot, is what Umang opines.

Umang shares that he gets inspired by seeing his workers grow in their personal life. He wants to add more employees to his firm so that he can bring a change to more lives.

In his free time, he likes to provide ‘Seva’ at any Gurdwara and indulge in social work.
