As a teacher, Uma keeps her students motivated and ensures conceptual clarity in her subjects to make it easier for them.

Uma Purawat is from Bhilwara, Rajasthan and is a teacher by profession.

She has been giving her services since 1998 as a Hindi & Sanskrit Teacher at Bhupal Nobles Public School, Udaipur. She completed her schooling from Rajsamand and her college from Bhilwara. Thereafter, Uma did her Bachelors in Education from RMV and her MA in Hindi after her marriage. She likes to be amongst children and teach them in the best way possible.

Uma is also fond of drawing and likes to create portraits. Her role model has been her father who works in synergy with others while keeping them motivated.

Uma urges the youth to never get bogged down in life and be ready to face any challenges they might come across. She adds that the youth needs to complete their education and contribute to the nation since they are the future leaders of the country.

Besides teaching, Uma likes to roam around with her family and friends and treat them with new delicacies. She believes in staying happy and spreading happiness.

Talking about the pandemic, Uma shares that Covid created a gap between the teachers and students. She didn’t face any challenges to take online classes since she was well-versed with technology and computers. However, Uma says that she witnessed less concentration and more distraction from the students’ end during the online mode of classes. For some time, Uma took a break and went back to her village to be away from social media and to be with her family.

Uma says that both Education and Experience go hand in hand. She adds that while education invites happiness, experience walks you through the nitty-gritty of how one should be living life.

Uma says that one should not stop working hard even if they don’t get success. She substantiates it by saying that ‘Not getting success is a different story, but to stop working hard for it would be wrong.’
