A priest and tourist guide, Uma Kant considers education important in life to obtain good work and experience.

Uma Kant Parashar is a practicing Priest and Guide at the Varah Ghat in Pushkar. He provides tours of the whole Pushkar lake and all fifty-two ghats of the pilgrimage city to the tourists.

Uma says as he was born and raised in a Brahmin family which is believed to be the protector of Pushkar Raj. He believes brahmins are born to devote their lives to the services of God.

When asked about his role models, Uma Kant says he considers the holy Pushkar Raj as his source of inspiration.

When asked whether education or experience is more important, Uma Kant says he thinks education is more important. He says if someone doesn't get education, they wouldn’t be getting rich experience. And if somebody is experienced, they could get more advanced education in their respective field.

Uma Kant’s life mantra is - “Jai Pushkar Raj.”

Uma Kant suggests the youth to uphold the name of their family and their birthplace. Be a good person and take care of your whole family, says Uma.
