Udit is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Commerce and Management at PAHER University, Udaipur. Besides, he is also an Adjunct Faculty at MLSU Udaipur. He has been in academia for more than five years now and has worked with different educational institutes.
Udit traces his family roots to Aligarh, UP, but his father settled in Udaipur many years ago. He was born and raised in Udaipur. He studied at St. Paul’s School. He did his bachelors and masters in Udaipur itself.
Udit’s father first sowed the seeds of teaching in him and he was very clear from the beginning that he wanted to make a career in academia. He started teaching as an Assistant Professor at the young age of twenty-four at Pacific University.
Udit considers himself privileged enough to not have faced any struggles in his life as he always had his parents to back him up. He says that nowadays youngsters are sliding into depression even though they have not faced any stressful situation in their lives in a real sense. Furthermore, he advises youngsters that depression is a clinical term that requires medical attention and simply using it over social media to describe your emotional and mental state is a mistake.
Udit was a bright student who always tried to learn as much as he could from different sources besides textbooks. He claims that he got AIR 1 in the CA-CPT examination.
Udit shares that the Covid pandemic left everyone puzzled owing to the free time it gave everyone. He says that the pandemic gave us an opportunity to reflect on ourselves. He conducted many online webinars to keep his students engaged as he believed that learning in life should never stop.
Udit thinks that nobody is perfect. He has considered many people as his role models as he believes in taking good qualities of people and imbibing them in himself.
Udit debunks the notion that only people with grey hair and a longstanding career in academia can teach well. Anybody can be a good teacher irrespective of their age.
To the youth who want to make a career in academia, Udit advises that you should join this field with an aim to bring about a reform in the education sector and not just earn money. Besides, he says that you ought to be self-confident and know how to articulate and express yourself.
Udit believes in being accountable for whatever decisions he makes. So even if he could go back in time, he would not want to undo anything or any of his decisions.
