Udit is a Singer and Composer and has given his original music in many web series and advertisements. He thinks that learning the basics of music is very important in his field.

Udit Shandilya is a Music Composer and Singer. He is a graduate in English Honors from Aligarh Muslim University.

Udit says that he has been into music from an early age of just four. Her mother discovered his talent one day when he was singing while tying his shoelaces. Udit says that his parents have always been supportive of his talent. His father used to take him to singing competitions as well.

Udit started training in Indian Classical Music. With time, he started listening to Western Music as well. He learned to play the Keyboard and the Guitar and soon was writing his own compositions. He started doing YouTube covers and after gaining experience started making his own songs.

Udit shares that his biggest breakthrough was when his compositions were selected for a web series named ‘Backpackers’. He has also done the title track and background score for the web series ‘Modern Family'.

Udit feels that we should never give up and keep trying as we never know which composition of ours will get picked by whom.

Udit says that Covid was an internal journey for him and he got to meet himself. He worked on himself and his art. He read many books during the lockdown to know better and terms it as a good period on a personal level.

The message that Udit wants to pass on to newcomers is to never lose hope and keep trying. Even if you fail you will have that personal satisfaction that you at least tried.

Udit’s favorite band is ‘Queen’ and his favorite singer is Freddie Mercury. Udit says that Freddie worked on his own terms and didn’t care much about others. He also wants to have that level of freedom of thoughts and expression in his field.

In his free time, Udit likes to read books revolving around philosophy as it helps in his observation skills and makes him better at music as well.
