After taking twenty-four years of corporate exposure in companies like ONGC, Bosch, SHCIL, Mahindra Satyam and Reliance Group, Udayshankar started his own company in the name of TLRNOW Consultants Pvt Ltd. It offers courses to develop Leadership and Management skills in professionals by providing coaching, training, mentoring, consulting and placement services under one roof. Besides, he is also a Voice Over Artist.
Udayshankar was a shy kind of a kid in his childhood but he was always passionate about learning English. He studied Engineering in Electronics and Communication and took up his first job in ONGC, Mumbai. He says, after his office hours, he used to write some articles which got rejected a few times initially but he continued his efforts and one day his article got selected at Express Towers, Mumbai. And from there, his writing journey started. Soon he stepped into Journalism and started writing articles for big newspapers like the Indian Express, The Economic Times and in no time he became a Consulting Editor for Dataquest. Moving forward in this journey, he became an Author too as he wrote books.
Udayshankar considers his mother as his role model since she wrote a book at the age of sixteen and published seventeen books in her lifetime. She also became popular writing in Kannada and used to appear in several TV shows as well.
Udayshankar says that during the Corona period, he was getting bored sitting idle at home due to the imposition of the lockdown in the country and that’s when he thought of writing a book. And to refresh his childhood memories, he wrote a book on Mahabharata called ‘The Untold Tales from the Mahabharata.’ Fortunately, he got a huge label to publish his book that is ‘Bloomsbury Publishing’, an international publishing house. Satisfied with the success of his first book, the publishers asked him to write another book and it got published under the name ‘Ancient Secrets of Soft Skills Unraveled.’
Udayshankar advises today’s generation that if you think that you are an expert in your subject and you have achieved mastery in it, then that is not enough considering today’s competition. He suggests, you should make your personality all-rounder and besides your degree, work and experience, you have to be capable in every other field too. Also, he says that if you want to achieve success in the corporate world, then it is necessary to have command over English and have good communication skills.
