An entrepreneur,  Tilkesh has ventured into different fields. He believes his education and experience, along with his friend circle, have driven him towards the path of success. He aspires to establish his company as a unicorn.

Tilkesh Bhatia is the Director at Smart Study International School. He is an IIT graduate and worked as an investment banker for four years. Currently, he is venturing into companies engaged in the fields of education, advertising, and electric vehicles.

Tilkesh hails from Nathdwara.

Recalling his childhood, Tilkesh says that he enjoyed his childhood days a lot. As his father was a bit strict, he became a disciplined person, which also helped him in his future.

Tilkesh says that he was one of the top five students in his school. After completing his 10th standard, he moved to Kota to get coaching for the IIT-JEE. He always wanted to do something big in his life, and getting into IIT-BHU was the first step towards it. He feels that along with good education, networking and exposure are equally important in this changing world.

Sharing about his journey, Tilkesh says that after completing his five-year course at IIT-BHU, he got placed in an investment bank on the first day of the placement drive. He worked there for four years and then resigned to embark on his journey towards entrepreneurship.

In 2015, he and his friend started an advertising company. Initially, they based their office in Indore and Nathdwara and gradually established five offices in different states across the country and earned a revenue of three to four million dollars. In 2017, he ventured into an electric vehicle company and gradually also started dealing in these vehicles from their showrooms spread across M.P. and Maharashtra. In 2021, he got the opportunity to be a part of the board of directors and handle the Smart Study International School in Nathdwara. He did his best to run the school and has produced tremendous results.

Tilkesh shares that the electric vehicles market is going very well as the government is aiming to increase the number of electric vehicles on the road to reduce carbon emissions. He is soon planning to apply for an IPO for his company.

Sharing about his challenges, Tilkesh says that as he was working day and night for the growth of his company as well as the growth of his team, his schedule became busy, and he was not able to give appropriate time to his family.

Talking about his achievements, Tilkesh says that he is a member of the Electric  Vehicle Federation. He is also part of the Outdoor Advertising Association. In 2019, their advertising company was part of the India Post Payment Bank Project, in which they got the tender of entire Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat to plan and execute the advertisement ideas. After getting the contract, he realized that they would suffer huge losses in fulfilling the tender, but somehow managed to survive the situation. Today, they are also the consultants for the beautification of Indore, the cleanest city in India. However, he considers getting admission into IIT as his biggest achievement as it provided him with the best exposure.

When asked about his role models, Tilkesh says that Elon Musk is his inspiration, and he has learned to be persistent from him.

In his spare time, Tilkesh likes to play squash. He is a gold medalist in the sport. He loves to swim in the summer and enjoys traveling and meeting his friends.

If given a time machine to go back in time, Tilkesh would have pursued financial engineering.

Tilkesh’s life mantra is to start from zero. He advises everyone that rather than joining their family business, one should explore on their own and strive to achieve their goals. Be persistent and patient, he says.

To the youngsters, he advises them to read books to broaden their horizon of knowledge and travel to explore.
