Tejendra Singh Robin is the owner of Hotel Mehrangarh Palace and the Mini Punjab restaurant in Udaipur.
Tejendra was born and brought up in Udaipur. He did his schooling at St. Paul's Senior Secondary School. Soon after completing his college education, he entered the business world. He still misses his childhood days and remembers the moments that he spent with his friends.
Tejendra shares that his main business is trading in marble. He has also served as President of the Udaipur Marble Association for five years. During that time, his efforts resulted in the construction of an office building for the association. After that, he became a part of Gurdwara Sachkhand Darbar and served society through it for ten years. Currently, he is also in the business of hotels and runs his own restaurant, the Mini Punjab, and has also opened a new restaurant named Jerry’s Mini Punjab. Here, authentic Punjabi food, along with Rajasthani and Gujarati food, is available.
Tejendra’s role models are his mother and elder sister, as his mother sacrificed for him a lot and his sister always supported him. He always follows the teachings of his mother in his life. He also admires the support of his family members. He also considers Bhagat Singh his role model and is inspired by his way of living life.
Talking about his struggles, Tejendra says that when he was in his first year of college, his hard time started when he decided to do something on his own. At that time, Gopal Agarwal supported him by giving him the contract for HDPE bag stitching and printing. Afterwards, he diversified into the marble field and faced many challenges as well as many losses. He learned a lot about business and gained many experiences during his struggling time. Currently, he is doing well in the marble and hotel industries.
Sharing his achievements, Tejendra says he has organized many social events for the welfare of society and people. He has been offering his services for the last five years as the President of the Udaipur Marble Association and has taken various favorable steps. He became a councilor from Ward 39 of the municipal council and put all his efforts into getting a passport office established in his area for the benefit of the city.
Comparing education and experience, Tejendra says he believes that education is a part of life and that basic education is necessary. On the other hand, experience plays an important role as it gives practical knowledge of the field.
If given a time machine to go back in time, Tejendra would like to relive his childhood days and have fun with his friends.
Tejendra advises the youth to put a hundred percent effort into their fields. One should strive and be serious about their work to attain their desired goals and objectives. He believes that to move forward, it is necessary to go step by step. He urges the youth to promote and use Indian products.
