Tejaswini K is a Bharatanatyam Dancer and Teacher at Shivapriya School of Dance in Bangalore.
Tejaswini states that she teaches Bharatanatyam at a dance school and is a professional dancer. She has spent the previous three years working in this field. She began learning Bharatanatyam when she was six, and her mother served as her motivation for her artistic pursuits. Her mother encourages Tejaswini to accomplish her aspirations and shares her love for the arts.
Tejaswini was raised and born in Bangalore, where she also attended National School for her schooling. She completed her B.Tech degree from Ramaiah Institute of Technology, and is presently enrolled in Christ University in Bangalore to pursue her master's degree in performing arts.
She looks up to her parents since they put in a lot of effort in her pursuits as had to start from nothing. She appreciates and honours the morals that her parents instilled in her. She draws inspiration from her multi-talented guru, Sanjay Shantaram, who excels in singing, dance, choreography, composing, and many other areas.
Speaking candidly about her challenges, Tejaswini states that persuading her South Indian parents to pursue a profession in art was the hardest thing she had to do. However, she is content that she has made progress in her career. She has been associated with Shivapriya Dance School that gives her many opportunities to explore and excel in her field, which is an achievement for her.
Tejaswini counsels young applicants desiring to become teachers to have extreme patience. She thinks it's critical to comprehend the perspectives and mental processes of the learners, or pupils. Since there is always more to learn about the world of art and there is never enough time to practise, you should aim to always improve your talents. Always strive to learn new things, develop your talents, and improve your abilities in the art world, says Tejaswini.
She finds great inspiration and motivation in the saying "Change is the only constant." She believes that nothing lasts forever and there is a light at the end of every tunnel.
Talking about mental health, Tejaswini advises the young people to just hold hands and ensure that the person next to them is well and in excellent mental health. We are currently experiencing the worst mental health crisis, in her opinion, thus it is critical that we show compassion, support one another, and be understanding of each others’ circumstances.
