Tejaswini Deshpande is a Training Director at Staenz Academy, Pune. She has been with the academy ever since it started in 2017. Apart from giving training, she also currently manages training operations as well as marketing

Tejaswini says that Staenz Academy offers a course in Digital Marketing and it has many divisions like Website Building, Search Engine Optimization, Google ads, Facebook ads, Branding, Social Media Marketing, etc. The academy has small courses for all these divisions.

Tejaswini shares that they used to develop software applications and while developing they wanted to market their products in the global market. So for that, they needed people/assistance to help them, but the market did not have a good pool of resources available. So they had to hire people and then train them. Therefore, they decided that they should train people, offer courses which totally tended to promote digital products.

They decided to start a digital marketing course for people who would be helpful for their company or would be placed in other different companies that need digital marketers.

Hence, they started with a batch and got a good response. Eventually, they increased their batches and now they are running six-seven batches every day, says Tejaswini.

Tejaswini shares that she is an engineering professional; she has completed her BE from the College of Engineering from Pune. She did BE in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, and after that, she worked with software developers. So, she used to do coding since she started to work for herself. She used to sell code in the global market and then she got acquainted with digital marketing and from then, from 2008 she is doing this marketing.

Tejaswini now thinks that as it’s been so many years and she is now sure that her experience is good enough to let the young generation, as well as people from another background, know some tips and tricks in this area.

Tejaswini’s success mantra is that in the success of her students lies her success.

Tejaswini has some valuable advice for those starting in this profession and the essential skills they should possess: Be organized and disciplined in your work, as it will help you succeed. Cultivate a genuine passion that comes from within; it will drive your motivation. Learn to find joy in the success of others, fostering a positive atmosphere. And, importantly, stay updated with the latest knowledge and trends in the field to stay competitive.

Comparing education and experience, Tejaswini emphasizes their importance in any career. Education provides exposure and confidence. On the other hand, experience teaches you valuable lessons on what to do and what not to do.

Outside of her work, Tejaswini enjoys hobbies like stitching and spending time with her cat and dog. She's also quite adventurous and likes to experiment, whether it's in the kitchen or with activities like painting around the house.

If given the chance to use a time machine, Tejaswini would go back in her past and make a different choice. Instead of pursuing engineering, she would opt for a graduation in English and might even consider a double graduation in psychology.

During the pandemic, Tejaswini faced some significant challenges, one of which was the loss of a student who had planned to start her course after the lockdown but tragically lost her life. This incident deeply affected Tejaswini, and she struggled to cope with the loss for several days. Even now, when she thinks about it, it pains her heart to recall how people suffered during those difficult times. Additionally, another student lost her father because he was unable to access the vaccine. In response to these challenges, Tejaswini and her team were fully engaged in providing assistance and support to those in need.

Tejaswini says that even before the pandemic, her academy had been conducting online classes, but the shift to a completely online format was essential during the pandemic when everything moved online. This transition not only improved their technology infrastructure but also enabled them to reach and serve remote areas effectively through the online format.

Tejaswini says that she enjoys a wide variety of music, and her favorite genre tends to change over time.

What Tejaswini values most about her work is the ability to make a positive impact on people's lives and the potential to bring about meaningful change.
