Tasneem Loha is a teacher at Witty International School, Udaipur. She teaches Social Studies to grades fourth and fifth.
Tasneem was born and brought up in Udaipur. She did her schooling at St. Mary’s School. Remembering her childhood, Tasneem says that she used to visit her maternal grandparents during her summer vacations and it used to be the most memorable time for her.
Tasneem says that in her school and college days, she and her friends used to prepare two chapters and teach one another. Tasneem says that her friends used to love her way of explaining and it was from there itself that Tasneem desired to be a teacher.
Talking about her role models, Tasneem says that her economics teacher from school days, Madhumita Majumdar, is her role model. She taught and supported Tasneem and motivated her whenever she felt stuck in any situation.
Sharing about her COVID-19 experience, she says that she had not started teaching by then but was teaching her own daughter at home. However, Tasneem feels that students lagged a lot during that time and studies suffered as the online mode of teaching was not that effective in comparison to classroom teaching.
When asked to give a piece of advice to everyone, Tasneem says that we should never stop learning, never get overconfident and accept changes happening in life.
In her free time, Tasneem likes to travel and spend time with her family and friends.
