Tarun has worked in the field of computer science right from his graduation days and has handled various roles relating to hardware, software, and marketing. For the past two decades, he has been in the education sector.

Tarun Shrimali is the Director of Research and Development at Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth in Udaipur.

Recalling his childhood, Tarun says that he belongs to Udaipur and completed his education at Birla Higher Secondary School, Pilani. The most memorable moments for him were his school days. He learned discipline and loved the lifestyle of his school.

Talking about his journey, Tarun says that he worked on different profiles, as at the initial stage he worked on hardware and then did business. He also taught for ten years and then worked as a Principal in three engineering colleges, like the Maharaja College of Engineering, Career Point Technical Campus, and Sunrise Group of Institutions. Recently, he has been working on research and development activities with Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth.

When asked about his challenges, Tarun says that he faced many ups and downs but always took them positively and moved forward in life. He feels blessed that God has gifted him a very wonderful life. He firmly believes that to succeed in life, it is important to face adversities and overcome them.

Sharing his COVID experiences, Tarun says that he was tested positive and even suffered the loss of three relatives to the pandemic. This was one of the most difficult times of his life. After suffering from this deadly disease, Tarun eventually recovered after following his doctor’s instructions carefully. He learned that it is important to have faith in yourself.

Tarun advises the young generation that hard work and smart work are both important for achieving success. One should have the dedication to work as a student or a professional, so you must be interested in whatever you do.

Comparing education and experience, Tarun says he believes that personal interest should drive one’s career. He also feels that an investment in the education system yields great benefits. Apart from that, Tarun also stresses that experience also plays an integral role in building a person’s career.

When asked about his mistakes, Tarun says that he didn’t make any big mistakes in life. Also, he feels that his decision-making ability also played an important part in his life and considers that the decisions taken at the right time formed the building blocks of his career.

Tarun’s role model is Swami Vivekanada, as he inspires him a lot. He also admires his PhD guide and vice chancellor, Prof. S.S. Sarangdevot, as he strives to follow their path of success.

In his spare time, Tarun likes to watch TV. He also likes to watch comedy shows to relax his mind.
