The passion to learn is more important than earning a formal degree.
Tarun Sharma, a Jaipur-based entrepreneur, founded Alphabet Developers LLP in 2016. He initially worked from home but later moved to an office space in Jaipur. Sharma started with two employees in design and digital marketing and later expanded to include training in digital marketing, PHP development, and customer service. His team has grown to twenty, with 90% of clients being from abroad and 10% from leading Indian brands. Currently, Alphabet Developers LLP has two offices in Jaipur and employs twenty people.
Following the completion of his B.Tech. in Computer Science at the Apex Institute of Engineering & Technology, Tarun began working for a US-based organization. Before leaving to work for another organization, he spent three years there. He made the decision to launch his own business because he didn't like the way his leaders were functioning there. He wants to provide clients with the best and most appropriate solutions through his business.
His father serves as an inspiration for Tarun, and, as he claims, success is what drives him most. Because of his father's encouragement, counsel, and teachings, he has learned how to deal with difficulties, strive through them, and ultimately grow through them. He was prompted to become a leader by his second job and his family's unanticipated financial difficulties. As a result, he values team development and wants to help his staff grow in leadership.
Tarun believes that nobody is born a leader, but certain situations develop leadership qualities. He also got the opportunity to develop his leadership skills through various challenges and experiences. Once his father met with an accident, and to take care of his family responsibilities, Tarun had to join an MLM company, where he developed his leadership skills and found himself good at developing businesses.
During this phase, Tarun used to study motivational books and attend leadership seminars to further enhance his skills. He also actively sought out mentorship from his father, learning from his experiences and strategies. Through consistent effort and dedication, Tarun was able to cultivate a strong sense of leadership within himself, which he now strives to instill in his employees as well.
Tarun was able to bring in 25–30% of the increased clientele during the COVID outbreak, hence his business fared well. To increase sales, he systematically targeted them and pushed the crucial services of website construction and e-commerce. In addition, he collaborates with a non-profit organization that offers free skill development to kids. In addition to other technical skills, he teaches the pupils digital marketing.
According to Tarun, education and experience can be managed simultaneously, which makes a person more job-ready. He feels that one should have the passion to learn and improve communication through education.
In his spare time, Tarun enjoys creating innovative web products. He just created two new plug-ins and extensions as remedies for various websites and e-commerce. He wants to succeed and support his wife, family, and friends while still enjoying his free time with them.
