Tarun Joshi is a man of versatility. He has been doing theatre for the last eight years. He believes in karma and the laws of the universe.

Tarun Joshi is an actor, dancer, singer, music composer, lyricist, and casting director based in Udaipur.

Tarun was born and brought up in Udaipur. He belongs to a middle-class family, where his father is an artist and businessman. He completed his schooling at Guru Nanak School and Alok School. Tarun has studied engineering.

Tarun shares that he has worked in eighteen short films and three Bollywood movies, like Love Aaj Kal and Pataakha. Besides, he is a lyricist, playback singer, music composer, and casting director.

Recalling his childhood, Tarun says that he was naughty in school. His teachers and principal always motivated him to focus on his art of singing. Slowly and gradually, he also realized that he had to practice in order to learn the art.

Talking about his journey, Tarun says that he began his career as an artist when he was in eighth grade. Initially, he started with singing and acting and then switched to dancing. His teachers and friends motivated him to enhance his talent. Then he focused on singing and started doing live shows at his college. Afterwards, he did theater for two years in Udaipur and then in Ahmedabad. He collaborated with the people who made short films and started doing films. Then he worked in ads and Bollywood films.

Talking about his struggles, Tarun thinks that no work is big or small, and a person must be dedicated to whatever he does. He has worked as an actor, singer, dancer, etc. and dedicated himself fully to it. He says that initially, his parents didn't support him. Being parents, they were worried about his future. He faced many challenges in his journey in the creative field. They used to tell him about the norms of the stereotype society: that he wouldn't be able to get married, wouldn't get any job, and other such things. But anyhow, he convinced them, left his job, and started giving his full time to this field. He worked hard, and since then, his work has been on the right path.

Sharing about his experiences, Tarun says that in 2018, when he was called by Vishal Bhardwaj for the film Pataakha's audition and he faced such a big camera for the first time, it was a very exciting and happy moment for him. He also gained many experiences at the time of the audition for the Love Aaj Kal movie, as he got rejected three times. Afterwards, at the time of the final selection, he got the chance to play a role in that film.

While comparing education and experience, Tarun feels that experience plays an important role in the development of personality. Education only makes people eligible to a certain extent, but experience actually helps them stand out and deal with society. Experience makes an artist perfect and also instills leadership qualities in people, says Tarun.

If given a time machine, Tarun would still want to become an actor and playback singer. Acting and singing are his passions, which he never wants to leave.

Tarun advises that it is important to think positively and to do meditation.

Tarun’s role models are Akshay Kumar and Shahrukh Khan, as they inspired him a lot. He learned to focus on his work from them. He also admires the singing of Sonu Nigam, who proved himself in the field of music.

Tarun’s success mantra is that he never gave up, whatever the situation was. He says that a person should be honest and dedicate himself fully to his work, and this diligence would pave the way to success.

In his free time, Tarun likes to write songs, compose music, spend time with friends, and play cricket.

Advising aspirants in his field, Tarun says that it is important to love your work and to do it with dedication. He says that young talents must think positively and work for themselves. "Do your work wholeheartedly, and the universe will help you achieve success accordingly", asserts Tarun.
