Tara Maheshwari is a Mathematics teacher at Rose Petal Secondary School.
Talking about her education, Tara says that she completed her schooling in her village and pursued her graduation in Udaipur. She holds a B.Sc. B.Ed. degree in Science -Mathematics.
Originally aspiring to enter the IT field, Tara's financial circumstances led her to choose a career in teaching. However, after completing her B.Ed., she developed a deep attachment to working with children, solidifying her decision to pursue teaching. With 15 years of experience, she not only teaches at school but also conducts tuition classes, utilising innovative teaching methods to motivate her students.
Tara shares that she faced the loss of her father after her 10th grade exams, which greatly affected her studies and resulted in her getting low marks in her 12th grade. However, her school teachers provided the necessary motivation and support to help her overcome this difficult situation.
Tara considers a teacher who worked with her husband as her role model. This teacher's influence on her husband led to his support for her career aspirations. She also acknowledges the supportive nature of her school director.
When asked about the importance of education as compared to experience, Tara emphasises that both hold significance, but experience plays a more vital role in learning and personal growth.
In her spare time, Tara indulges in her hobbies of listening to songs, reading books to aid her teaching, and watching YouTube videos for mathematical tricks.
Tara advises aspiring educators to prioritise punctuality, discipline, and hard work in their profession.
