Continuing the legacy of her father, Tanupreet is achieving new heights at a very young age by becoming a businesswoman and living her dream life.

Tanupreet Kaur has been running her own business named Tanupreet Makeup Studio in Meerut. She is also running a hair extension business.

Tanupreet was born in Hasanpur. She says, since childhood, she was interested in becoming a businesswoman. After completing her twelfth in commerce stream, she graduated in English (Hons) from Delhi University. After her graduation, Tanupreet planned to do an MBA course and then do a job to gain some experience. But she had second thoughts and started her business soon after her graduation rather than waiting for three years doing MBA.

Talking about her entry into the field of makeup, Tanupreet says that she found that the wedding industry was taking new turns and there was less crowd in it. So she entered this field to grab the opportunity in a unique way, says Tanupreet.

Tanupreet started her business in 2019 but the advent of the first wave of Covid seemed to shatter her plan. However, she kept patience. It was the hardest moment for her but she did not give up. Tanupreet started marketing her services digitally to attract clients and started giving tips and ideas on makeup and hair-extension on Instagram during the pandemic.

Soon after the pandemic, she started receiving bookings from her clients and her business boomed taking her to new heights giving her a name and making her brand stronger.

Tanupreet’s success mantra is to make every bride feel that she is important. Giving a personal touch to everyone and making them look different is her success mantra.

When asked about role models in her life, Tanupreet says that she considers her brother as her role model. She learned from him that you should not have limited earning expectations in business. She learned to go after establishing her name and make her brand a long-term strong brand and earn respect.

Tanupreet believes in teamwork. She loves to be a leader so that she will receive more productivity.

Advising the youth who desire to start their own business, Tanupreet says that they should not be afraid of competition in the market. She also advises that they should search for uniqueness in their art and have a passion to work hard. Also, they should not desire to capture the whole market. A small segment of the market can also make them great and highly successful.

Drawing a comparison between education and experience, Tanupreet says that she prefers experience more to education.

When free, Tanupreet likes to enjoy her work. She also likes to hang out with her friends and post new things on YouTube. She also loves to listen to people's perspectives on podcasts.
